I recently posted a similar composite, but this time I decided to add a human element (me for that matter). So this picture is a composite of 3 different photos I took in Mauritius. The reflections were added. And the title is in reference to a famous movie, the tiger is missing though ;-)
In plants veins transport materials both to and from the plant tissues. In mammals however veins return blood back to the heart after it has traveled to parts of the body and delivered oxygen. The veins carry the deoxygenated blood
(which has picked up carbon dioxide on its journey) to the heart where it is again oxygenated for recirculation through the body via arteries. In plants veins perform both functions - they are a plant's life line, and plants are our life line.
During photosynthesis which requires light, plants produce and give off oxygen. At night when there is no light, plants absorb a small amount of oxygen and give off carbon dioxide; however overall, they produce many times more oxygen during the day than they consume at night. And that my friends, is what keeps us and our planet alive.
"In the process [photosynthesis], they produce oxygen, which constitutes a significant portion of the air we breathe so less plants means less recycling of
carbon dioxide and less oxygen production. Plants also give us food and fibers to make clothes and without photosynthesis, we would not be able to sustain the life we are living." Alessia Para Gallio, research assistant professor at Northwestern and at the Chicago Botanic Garden. She received her Ph.D. degree in Physiological Botany from Uppsala University, Sweden, with a thesis on plant development. (Quote Source:

A banana is an elongated, edible fruit – botanically a berry – produced by several kinds of large treelike herbaceous flowering plants in the genus Musa. In some countries, cooking bananas are called plantains, distinguishing them from dessert bananas. The fruit is variable in size, colour and firmness, but is usually elongated and curved, with soft flesh rich in starch covered with a peel, which may have a variety of colours when ripe. It grows upward in clusters near the top of the plant. Almost all modern edible seedless (parthenocarp) cultivated bananas come from two wild species – Musa acuminata and Musa balbisiana, or hybrids of them.
Blue sky above, fluffy clouds, sun is shining, not burning and forest and beautiful nature all around. My bicycle takes me to this places, where nobody is. For those moments, life is good.

The quiet country life of rural Scotland. I often imagine my life as an inhabitant of the places I visit. What would I be doing in a place like this. Live in a quaint picturesque cottage, herd sheep, play with my sheep dogs, take care of the farm, go for long hikes on the glens. Doesn’t sound too bad does it?
Prompt: A Baroque still life painting featuring opulent silk drapery cascading over a gilded table, rich jewel tones reflecting candlelight, alongside delicate porcelain and ripe fruit, evoking a sense of luxury and old-world charm

from the castle ruins
to the stacked pipes
and tunneled waters
of metropolis
we alone
—family in darkness
layers of india ink
hide useless machines
pressing country skin city bone
into amalgamation
hotwired airfield wings
hovering over abandoned
fairgrounds
covered in chains
and cotton candy
enslaved
sweetened
—so the pill goes down with ease
this is our home
this is where we live
life is zenith
future is chaos.

Neon signs have always been somethings or subjects that have always drawn me to photograph as a subjects, 37 years with film (hit and miss until I got the exposure settings down for Kodachrome at 25, 64 & 200 ASA) and the last 16 digitally (trial & error after review of rear display). This one is from Kansas City Missouri’s Majestic Steakhouse & Jazz Club which is in the historic structure that began life when it was built in. 1911 as the Fitzpatrick Saloon. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @panasonic @lumix @kehcamera @mpbcom @visitkc #lx100 #lx100m2 #microfourthirds #micro43 #micro43photography #panasonic #lumixlx100 @majestickc816

'Basically, at the very bottom of life, which seduces us all, there is only absurdity, and more absurdity. And maybe that's what gives us our joy for living, because the only thing that can defeat absurdity is lucidity'. Albert Camus

1 “And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2 in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; 4 they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. 5 And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illuminate them; and they will reign forever and ever.
6 And he said to me, “These words are faithful and true”; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show His bond-servants the things which must soon take place.
7 “And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Thought I'd try my hand at a still life shot.
I gathered the leaves on my walk through Black Hawk Park today and decided to use them with some gourds and a small pumpkin. It wasn't what I had in mind when I collected the leaves but I was having fun playing with the colors!
I included a few acorn caps just for fun. As any kid should know who grew up around oak trees, the acorn caps make a great whistle!!
