The pictures in my mind, when I heard about the name of this spot, went far more further than the reality was. Here You see the Hangman’s Tower and the Hangman’s Bridge. No, here never took place an execition. When the tower lost its functions as city fortification the executioner of the city of Nuremberg used to live in the rooms of the tower.

Been outdoors a while ago for some shooting and discovered on my biketour besides the road this fading beautys. It jus thad rained the night before and some droplets has been still on it - nature can be so beautiful - and dreamful too.

#Lookingclose...onFriday! #Damaged

Pretty nice theme for this week. We do have so much things that get broken sooner or later. Damage also happens in Nature.

Damage is any change in a thing, often a physical object, that degrades it away from its initial state. It can broadly be defined as "changes introduced into a system that adversely affect its current or future performance". Damage "does not necessarily imply total loss of system functionality, but rather that the system is no longer operating in its optimal manner". Damage to physical objects is "the progressive physical process by which they break", and includes mechanical stress that weakens a structure, even if this is not visible.

Moving - In Bewegung

Not only the lights of the city fascinate people, but also the movement. Right at the entrance to the main train station in Frankfurt am Main there is movement day and night. People come and go - they're always on the move. One of the largest terminal stations in Europe is always very nice to watch.

A B&W abstract of the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C., USA. The granite pillars stand out in the night reflecting the lights. Designed by Austrian-American Fredrich St. Florian. The Washington Monument with the U.S. flag waving in the background. Shot with a Rokinon 12mm F2.0 lens. Somtimes it doesn`t need much to enjoy the Beauty of Nature. Quite the contrary makes often the difference. Getting the focus on the puristic small things in nature is a good training for your mindfulness.

Autumn, also known as Fall in American English and Canadian English, is one of the four temperate seasons. Outside the tropics, autumn marks the transition from summer to winter, in September (Northern Hemisphere) or March (Southern Hemisphere). Autumn is the season when the duration of daylight becomes noticeably shorter and the temperature cools considerably. Day length decreases and night length increases as the season progresses until the Winter Solstice in December (Northern Hemisphere) and June (Southern Hemisphere). One of its main features in temperate climates is the striking change in colour for the leaves of deciduous trees as they prepare to shed.

View of Singapore at night from the Sands SkyPark viewing platform in the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.

The two domes in the middle are Cloud Forest and Flower Dome on the impressive park area Gardens by the Bay. Two huge biotopes, each with an impressive glass dome.

To the right the Super Trees. Artificial trees up to 50m high made of steel and real flanking.

On the horizon countless cargo ships on the Strait of Singapore. One of the busiest sea straits in the world.

he Cittadella (Maltese: Ic-Cittadella), also known as the Citadel, the Castello (Maltese: Il-Kastell) or the Gran Castello, is a citadel in Victoria, on the island of Gozo in Malta. The area has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. The present configuration of the Cittadella is a combination of a medieval castle and an early modern gunpowder fortress, with its northern walls retaining a largely medieval form and its southern walls dating back to a 17th-century reconstruction. The Cittadella has been included on Malta's tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1998.

A memory at last year, when I didn't even expect, that I would be locked inside of my home office for month. Here, I was walking through the oldtown of Augsburg after work and I was amazed of that gloomy side streets I saw here. Even, or maybe because they did remember me at scenes from movies like Jack the Ripper or Sherlock Holmes.

Just like his sister Cleo the Dragon hates cold weather and at this time of year prefers to stay somewhere near a radiator instead of going outside. This is why the radiator under one of the living room windows qualifies this scratchpost as a favourite place for a nap and by now the Dragon has even learned to leave most of the items on the windowsill in peace. The only exception is the little Santa in the background which is rather new and therefore interesting and ends up on the ground several times a day. The lights in the background aren't really Christmas lights as in fact they stay on the ficus tree all year. :)

Color does not exist, but is created in our brains. In order to see color we need light, an object and our eyes. Color arises in the presence of light. Whenever light falls on an object, some of the rays are reflected by the object and the remainder is absorbed. The part that is reflected, determines the color.

Our eyes cannot perceive the light that is absorbed by an object. An apple, for example, absorbs all colors, except green. Because the green is reflected and is captured by our eyes, we see the green color of the apple.

The most ideal light for seeing color is diffuse daylight, when the sun is more or less behind the clouds and it is slightly rainy. This produces the most truthful colors.
