It is always interesting for me to experiment with flipped reflections in water. On my walk around the lake, in -6C temperatures, I captured many different views of the log house and its reflections in the still waters. As the morning wore on the sun's rays began to melt the frost in areas that were not in shadow adding yet another dimension to an already perplexing but hopefully fascinating series (presented here in no particular order) of flipped and un-flipped images .

The eastern tiger swallowtail butterfly (Papilio glacus) is found throughout North America, from Canada all the way to Mexico. Fun Facts: Swallowtails have two wing tails that hang down at the bottom of their wings. Often, they will lose one of their wing 'tails' to a predatory bird, but they can still fly.
