Another view of the remaining level crossing gate of the former Dockyard branch line which ran from Portsmouth & Southsea station to the HMS Unicorn naval base where the track would have crossed over Edinburgh Road (now Bishop Crispian Way) at this point prior to heading north towards the large confines of the HMS Nelson naval base. Since the closure of this single-track railway line in 1977 part of the track bed is now a cycleway with the remainder of the track bed having since been built on. Level 2 is dedicated to the Bat-computer and labs. The labs house the most sophisticated diagnostic and analysis equipment on the planet as well as some built to the Batman's specifications. There are multiple terminals in the lab area all linked to the library and Bat-computer. The Bat-computer itself is one of the most powerful, sophisticated systems designed. It's speed is matched only by the super-computers at Jet Propulsion Laboratories. The system was designed with Robin's assistance to be invisible to all other computer systems and 'hacker' resistant. The Bat-computer uses a 10 foot by 15 foot plasma-display which can also be linked to the meeting tables on level 1, the JLA's main computer, and the computer in Superman's Fortress of Solitude.
