Drawing inspiration from my environments, I decided to explore creating letterforms using this theme. Presented above is the first picture "A', of said experimentation with forming a cohesive alphabet.

I like this A better than my first. The thick and thin strokes and a thin crossbar feel the best so far.
Drawing inspiration from my rooms, I decided to explore creating letterforms using this theme. Presented above is the picture "F', of said experimentation with forming a cohesive alphabet.
I came up with a whole bunch of variations for this project. Unfortunately we were only allowed to do Black and White, 1 color, and two color variations for the final product.
Final documentation and comparison with digital originals. You make the call. From this Spring's FDN_1111 grupetto. The digital variants (see former postings) have given way to the mysteries of real life, and love?

This is a project from Letterforms in which we were tasked with creating a poster in which the text played an integral role.
I chose a variety of letterforms and, sticking to black and white, produced various crops and compositions. I like these designs as they are clean and use white space. I gained an understanding of how logos could be developed in this way.
Since a jumbo-sized Galaxy theatre is going up a block away, this “Capitol 4” movie theatre & sign probably won’t be around for long.
The C is totally too far away from the A, (it reads as “C APITOL 4”)…Still, I dig the letterforms. Funk-ay!
