For this photo, I took pictures of my favorite brand of shoes, I have tons of Vans, and they are all my prized possessions, and I liked how the texture went with the "dirtiness" of the shoes. I took these pictures out on the street outside my house. Just some cropping and turned down the brightness in the first picture. I get a rebel kind of feeling to it, normal, dirty, Vans aren't supposed to be getting dirty.
I'll bet this sign has had it's picture taken millions of time..
Shot taken with the Nikon FM loaded with Kentmere 100 film self developed in Ilfosol3 1:14 dilution.

Minehead seems a long way from London. London seems a long way from Minehead. But they are only 175 miles apart. And what a 175 miles that is! It took five days to travel the distance. Every nook and cranny begged to be explored. You can't possibly skip Stonehenge or Wells or Avebury or Salisbury or Bristol or Bath to mention only a few. I swear, Britain is one treasure after another.

Kona means "leeward" in Hawaiian, and Kona is the west -- or left -- side of the Big Island (whose real name is Hawaii). That's the side that's out of the trade winds, which blow from east to west.
