OK, a little bit of research and this was originally McCall's 5407 (sorry, Flickr won't let me post the cover) and I have to admit the dresses turned out fantastic!
Total disclosure here, the original pattern called for a side zipper--and the repro did too! I just didn't have the inner strength to do a side zipper, so I modified the pattern to close in the back (one in the front).
Even loving the fabrics--they're meant to coordinate with each other.
Last of a remnant of fabric, so I guess these will truly be one of a kind. I just love the little hat on the girl with a cape!

Phew, finally finished something. I can tell this holiday season will be ugly--all my weekends are taken up and I still haven't gotten the tree up!
At least I got this collection finished. All the red dresses are from a late 60s-early 70s fabric that was initially used to make a tree skirt. And the shoulder capes are from a Japanese pattern book (I'm really impressed that I figured out how to make them.)

It's been a mess, but I found time to go to a neighbor's estate sale (she moved south don't worry)
Turns out she sewed/quilted and I greatly added to the horde.
This is a classic Christmas Holly print and based on the cut-outs, it was used to make a tree skirt. This is what I made from the 'negatives'.

One of my new trials with Marirose's Belle pattern. It's not an exact replica of the Campus Belle dress, but that bodice is absolutely lovely. I did quite a bit of expermenting on the skirts, etc. I'll be posting more later.
