Halloween conjures up visions of witches, goblins, vampires, bats and ghoul. Many places on the Second Life grid are featuring pumpkin patches, scarey haunted houses and ghoulish images.
But the real horror is our own nightmares. We found a place called The Funhouse. Insane & totally demented! Digging deep into our psyche, this builder has created a horror so compete that it may drive you mad. (We went three times... plan to spend at least 2 hours).
A bit of a respite after this torture, I hit Club Industry. Goth, industrial, noize, psypop, trance and more are featured at this club 24/7. DJ DaemonChadeau spins there, too. So appropriate for the Halloween spirits!
Also, BassLine Junkiez is having a big Halloween party on Oct 31st. Liqwid, Doubledown, Vacano, Rentmaster and others are the featured DJ's. I'm sure Xavier & I will hit that one.

said the spider to the fly
When I first came across this scene the spider was dangling in mid-air looking at me and it had all this juice and whatnot foaming around it's mouth - quite horrific really. I went inside to change lenses so he must have got stage fright and cleaned things up a bit.
I think what he's doing here is you know with poppers how you squeeze the last bit out of it? Well, this is how spiders do it. You see, natures not that bad when you put spin on it like that now is it? :)

Snow to end about midnight; totals range from 7 to 9 inches; another 7 due Sunday
By Rasheed Oluwa • Poughkeepsie Journal • December 19, 2008
Accidents aplenty tonight, 7 to 9 inches of snow in some areas and another seven inches are expected for Sunday.
That's the tally so far regarding the first major snowfall of the season -- and what's next. Meanwhile, plows are not keeping up with snowfall, and back roads and even many main roads are in poor condition.
Around 7:48 p.m., the New York State Thruway Authority reported that all southbound lanes on Interstate 87 were blocked at milepost 115, between Exits 21B and 21 because of an accident. There was no estimate as to the time when it would be cleared.
State police reported "massive" backups on the Taconic State Parkway, both north- and southbound, in Putnam County, with numerous accidents along the highway in Dutchess County. Shortly before 4 p.m., three cars stuck on Route 44/55 eastbound in Poughkeepsie, just off the Mid-Hudson Bridge, was causing traffic coming from Highland to back up, as well.
Drivers are pulling off the highways and taking shelter in hotels and motels.
Waseem Haider, the front manager of the Howard Johnson Newburgh said people are registering at the motel at a steady pace.
"They are complaining about the conditions being atrocious," he said. "We are going to pull in a lot of customers tonight."
Stewart International Airport is fully operational, said Ron Marsico, spokesman for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
The runways are clean. "They've been grooming them all day," he said.
Out of 11 scheduled flights, five were canceled, Marsico said, though he could not give a reason for the cancellations.
Other airports in the region were not so lucky, he said. At Newark International Airport, 428 flights were canceled. Over 100 flights were canceled from JFK and 275 from LaGuardia.
The first major snowstorm of the winter is expected to hammer the Hudson Valley all night, as residents, businesses and commuters brace for some tough travel conditions. Snow began falling around noon.
Accidents have been reported on Route 9D near the Dutchess/Putnam County line, on numerous parts of Route 82 and on Route 376. Multiple accidents have been reported on Route 9 and I-84, and traffic is reported to be moving very slowly going from the City of Poughkeepsie onto the Mid-Hudson Bridge.
The region may face a second storm Sunday. A wintry mix of snow and rain is forecast for throughout the day, but the additional precipitation may add less than an inch of snow by Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service.

The Irish Government, in their largesse, have decided to give out free cheese to the poor. I can't wait to get my first shot of a 'brand new' soup kitchen!

Let me fall
Let me climb,There's a moment when fear
And dreams must collide
Someone I am, Is waiting for courage
The one I want, The one I will become
Will catch me
So let me fall, If I must fall
I won't heed your warnings, I won't hear them
Let me fall
If I fall, Though the phoenix may
Or may not rise
I will dance so freely, Holding on to no one
You can hold me only, If you too will fall
Away from all these, Useless fears and chains
Let me fall
If I fall, There's no reason
To miss this one chance, This perfect moment
Just let me fall
In my short trip to Zakopane i found this, let's say ""cascade"" (not cascade of course). Like the way the water blends and is blured by the exposure time. Just doing different techniques of photography. Shot with a Samyang 8mm fisheye

This baby girl was playing under the pouring rain while I was in Magic Kingdom, Disney World. She was completely amused and enjoying herself while her parents watched her, it was a moment that needed to be captured.

Well, the beaver was out at the bayfront today. Very quiet out there today, and the bridge is closed! Looks like one end slipped off it's mount.
On a side note, my Macbook Pro failed earlier this week! Apple fixed it, but had to wipe it clean. Glad I backup! Hey everyone, be sure to backup your images!
