This was Atley in June I believe, getting ready to go to the Asheville Dog show where she was reserve to the major. Very happy with my little dog and how she has progressed over the summer, just wish she would come fully back in to coat again. (ps, yes her feet were not fully trimmed in this picture, I wasn't done yet)
Leaving for a dog show tomorrow, so I don't know if I'll post again. But, in a week and a half, Levi, the champion red and white husky, is coming to stay with me for couple of weeks so I'll be spamming flickr.

Hydrangea macrophylla 'Let’s Dance Rhythmic Blue' 23W28 Bigleaf F1- (Wood, 2015) Bigleaf Hydrangea, Mature plant size: 3x3ft., Blue or pink, USDA Hardiness Zone 5, Michigan Bloom Month 6, In Garden Bed F1 for 4.8 YEARS (Hirt's). Planted in 2018.
Hydrangea macrophylla Lets Dance™ Rhythmic Blue 'SMHMES14' was selected by Timothy D. Wood of Spring Meadow Nursery in Michigan (PP25836, 2015). It's patented as new and distinct. According to the patent, "its upright, outwardly spreading and mounded plant habit; strong and sturdy dark brown-colored stems; early flowering habit; large mophead-type inflorescences with large sterile flowers; sterile flowers dark pink or blue in color depending on aluminum sulfate treatments; and good winter hardiness.”
How new and distinct is it? In reality, most new and old cultivars of big leaf hydrangeas are upright & outwardly spreading & mounding, have stems of color, flower between early and late, have mopped or lacecap type inflorescences, have flowers that are pink or blue depending on soil pH, and have some degree winter hardiness.
'SMHMES14' is an open-pollinated seedling of Hydrangea macrophylla 'Bailmer' (aka Endless Summer®). The unique trait of 'Bailmer' is that it is remontant or re-blooming. Specifically, it blooms on old and new wood whereas most older big leaf cultivars bloom on old wood only. So, if you have a harsh winter or late spring frost that damages buds on old wood, a remontant hydrangea will still flower on new wood in late summer (probably not the stellar display that you wanted, but something). This trait is related to winter hardiness, but it is not exactly winter hardiness. To me, winter hardiness is the winter temperature that a plant can withstand without dying. This trait is only dealing with buds, as in “this Buds for you”.
Getting back to Lets Dance™ Rhythmic Blue, it seems to me that its strong & sturdy dark brown stems (inflorescences do not flop) and winter hardiness sets it apart from other cultivars.

Four weeks old today!
Joschi = 546 Gramm, Juri = 626 Gramm
Today we got the pedigree papers and the vaccination card for Mom Antje because she will stay in our home. I am very glad. Joschi's new humans (in eight weeks) visit him today and have been very happy that they will get him in May. Juri will be find a home in our breeder friend's family to become a good tom like his father. I will have a voice what will happen with him when he will be neutered.
Antje bleibt bei uns. Joschi ist verkauft und geht im Mai in ein tolles Zuhause wo schon Funnys Schwester Feona lebt. Juri soll bei unserer Züchter-Freundin für Nachwuchs sorgen, aber bis dahin werden wir noch jeden Augenblick mit allen genießen. Wenn Juri als Zuchtkater ausgedient hat, habe ich ein Mitspracherecht, Kerstin. ;)
It's snowing outside and it's very damp and chilly! Not a day to be outside if you don't have to be.
On September 15th to 18th 2019, Let's Connect (the conference changed its name from Social Connections to Let's Connect at the opening session) a conference dedicated to HCL Connections (previously IBM Connections) was put on in Münich at the Hotel NH Collection München Bavaria.
There were loads of sessions covering collaboration, both Connetions, Teams, social intranets and other solutions.
