This dog was so cute, totally intent on jaywalking to get started playing ball with its owner.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. I like having the christmas tree setup :)

It's amazing what our eyes and brains process everyday. Just in this glimpse I see a complaint about whining, notification of a baby on board, a plea for revolution, a Chevy license plate promotion, a Chinese restaurant promotion, and a bank with "let us take" in the scroll.

It makes me wonder how much of the suggestion from all we see actually sticks and works into our thoughts and decisions.

My neighbor tells me I have to control my "snow joy" but since we're well on our way to a foot of snow and negative temps, what else is there to do but enjoy it?

I came across two parked Chevy Escaldes on display outside of the TD bank building downtown Toronto, and as I was taking this picture I couldn't help but think of the video for Let's Ride by Choclair. Two-thirds of the way into the clip you can see him crusing the same TO streets (with some familiar TO buidlings in the background) but he's riding a Hummer instead of an Escalade. My how times and SUVs change!

Happy 4th of July, all!

Another shot from my Alaskan trip on June 6, 2008.

This is a disabled eagle at the EAFB Bald Eagle Sanctuary. The title to this photo is quite ironic because this bird along with another half-blind eagle, is protected in an enclosed 30-by-50-foot cage. However, without the sanctuary, these beautiful creatures would not survive in the wild.

Technical Note:

Shot through a chain link cage with an EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM with my 2x extender attached. If you get your lens pretty close to the cage, the lines literally disappear.
