Easy and cheap!, these subscription tickets on the tram line to Husum at Copenhagen. This classic advertisement was shown inside a heritage tramcar at Skjoldenaesholm, Denmark. The picture in the first comment below shows such tramcar to Husum.

"St-Gilles, c'est un peu l'histoire classique du petit village de pêcheurs, tranquille et enclavé, devenu avec la construction des routes une station balnéaire à la mode où foisonnent boutiques, bons restaurants et boîtes de nuit à l'adresse d'une population plutôt branchée et argentée. Mais sa vitalité la rend agréable en toute saison et le FRONT DE MER, devenu piétonnier, constitue une promenade SYMPATHIQUE..." (Wikipedia)

Sheba waiting at the door to be let in. He doesn't really mind a bit of cold, but last week's temperatures kept him in most of the time.
Why do these creatures always have to bang at the glass?

Finally... I got my new hard disk and have it all sorted out now (for a while at least) and was able to download the shots from last weekend to my computer. And what can I say. They pretty much suck. This could be because it's been almost a week since I took them and in my twisted mind they had to look better or I am just in a crappy over-worked and stressed mood or they are really all crap...
This is one of the few that I actually do like and that came out alright considering the circumstances of dirty glass and glare.
The Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) is a thickset arboreal marsupial herbivore native to Australia, and the only extant representative of the family Phascolarctidae.
The Koala is found in coastal regions of eastern and southern Australia, from near Adelaide to the southern part of Cape York Peninsula. Populations also extend for considerable distances inland in regions with enough moisture to support suitable woodlands. The Koalas of South Australia were largely exterminated during the early part of the 20th century, but the state has since been repopulated with Victorian stock. The Koala is not found in Tasmania or Western Australia.

These days, it seems as this has been replaced with a need to remain disconnected. I know that we are supposed to live in a connected world, but with all the texting and tweeting and e-mailing, are we really making connections? Opinions on a post card to....
This young lady with her husband and daughter were working very hard on the beach in Kilkee! While the daughter was not too interested in getting rid of her Daddy the lady was working with great enthusiasm! I always felt that that was what would happen to me so I never volunteered:-)
Let me just say I went on a family trip with the intentions of taking some pictures if the opportunity presented itself. My expectations were not high especially because I knew California was in a state of drought for months now. Which meant no clouds and no wild flowers. After spending a few days by the coast and my constant dealing with capricious marine layers my expectations were more than solidified. I internally resigned I won't be bringing home any real gems. My last and only sunset in Joshua Tree national park proved me completely wrong. I was going back and forth all day, changing my mind constantly and driving my husband crazy about the location I would choose from. There were a few more traditional spots I could have picked but in the end I settled for driving on the main road and picking a spot to my liking. I was wondering about the off beaten path, watching carefully my feet since there were tons of holes of unknown inhabitants scattered around, when all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye I saw a flash of red. Once I saw it, I knew this was THE SPOT! A real gem, hence the title! This is I believe a Mojave mound cactus in its full glory.
