Let's eat, but first the rest of the brief history lesson! From it's humble beginnings in 1947, the Shoney's enterprise grew wildly, Blockbuster Video style, and by the 60's and 70's began to include different type restaurants, hotels (Shoney's Inn), and even the current love-it-or hate-it Captain D's chain, which was born from this dynasty in 1969. But just like Blockbuster, it all crashed (imagine that!) in 2000 when the company declared bankruptcy. Today however, the Shoney's brand appears to be back on track and luckily hasn't disappeared like so many other famous brands that collapsed on top of themselves. Just a quick entry for the this years Eurobricks christmas raffle. Living somewhere that hasn't seen snow for a few years now, for me the most exciting part about snow would probably be seeing snow!

Old stone house located on North Front Street in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
These two young elephant were playing together. They were raised up the open zoo " Korat Zoo" where they live. No cage but limited area by surrounded canal. Exploring around this zoo by bicycle and I quitel ike this zoo comparing to others in Thailand...
The soil is latterite (red soil) so their body were tinted by red soil.. Seeing them playing together, I was happy and I smiled while taking this shot
(added) Post this cheerful and lovely shot and try not to be too sad with news .. Chaos of deep conflicts in Thailand, Earthquake again in Sichuan and Yunnan, my best friends' depressed life and so on... Tell myself, do my best as long as I can do, apart from that, its beyond control, be neutral and calm my mind.

last evening in France before taking the ferry from Le Havre. (change of plan because of the chaos at Calais! It was a lovely warm evening and an excuse to look for some industrial type shots as a wee change from all the rural stuff further south.
Was at the opening game last saturday, had a blast with my step-dad, we ended up wining 1-0 with a great atmosphere i believe it was a sould out croud at BBVA.

Makkelijk en goedkoop! zo'n abonnement op tramlijn 11 naar Husum te Kopenhagen, en zo te zien was de tramconducteur er ook erg blij mee. Dit reclamebord hing op de zijruit van een museumtram te Skjoldenaesholm in Denemarken. Hoe die tram naar Husum er uit zag? .... die opname volgt hieronder in het eerste kommentaar.
Easy and cheap!, these subscription tickets on the tram line to Husum at Copenhagen. This classic advertisement was shown inside a heritage tramcar at Skjoldenaesholm, Denmark. The picture in the first comment below shows such tramcar to Husum.

Why do these creatures always have to bang at the glass?

Finally... I got my new hard disk and have it all sorted out now (for a while at least) and was able to download the shots from last weekend to my computer. And what can I say. They pretty much suck. This could be because it's been almost a week since I took them and in my twisted mind they had to look better or I am just in a crappy over-worked and stressed mood or they are really all crap...
This is one of the few that I actually do like and that came out alright considering the circumstances of dirty glass and glare.
The Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) is a thickset arboreal marsupial herbivore native to Australia, and the only extant representative of the family Phascolarctidae.
The Koala is found in coastal regions of eastern and southern Australia, from near Adelaide to the southern part of Cape York Peninsula. Populations also extend for considerable distances inland in regions with enough moisture to support suitable woodlands. The Koalas of South Australia were largely exterminated during the early part of the 20th century, but the state has since been repopulated with Victorian stock. The Koala is not found in Tasmania or Western Australia.
