Today, im having the great pleasure of becoming the owner of a Leica M3, completing my Leica collection. Along with my Leica III (on the picture as well), it represents exactly the cameras owned by the great Henri Cartier Bresson, being the latter the one he owned first and the M3 the camera he used to make his most famous pictures, of people from Gandhi to Martin Luther King. Considered the best camera of all time, the Leica M3 is the personal choice of top photographers like Sebastiao Salgado and Robert Capa. On this picture, along with my Leica M3 with 50mm f/1.5 lens, theres a Leica 35mm f/3.5, a Leica 90mm f/4 on the left and on the right, a Leica III with 50mm f/3.5 lens and a LeicaMeter photometer. Dream collection!!! :-D
It is a must to take a picture of a beautiful woman beside such a great lengendary car,and I think the dress of her is similar to the clour of this car.
Mix it up Monday? I need some Viking rings and a horned helmet.
But one thing I have no worries about is the quality and condition of my beard. Always some amazing @canyouhandlebar beard care products.
We’re all in this together.

In la Latina you can find the lengendary barley market. Right next to it, there is a space for leisure and outdoor culture. I like it because in the winter mornings the sun warms you up, and it looks like when you come down the stairs the world suddenly switches to a different nice mood...
There I was, soaking up the December rays of sun with my friends, when we realized there was a group of people with nice vibes next to us. I was aware that I needed more girls for my strangers project, so when I saw the color of her hair and her cool glasses, I did not hesitate and asked Celia for her portrait. Celia and her friends are from Albacete and just like us, they also were visiting Madrid for a couple of days.
The noon sun was very strong, and there was nowhere to hide, but I liked the contrast because it gave a lot of strength to her features. And I love her expression!
Thanks Celia Lopez !!!

I don't normally put up these old adverts for cars. But thought I would share this one for the lengendary HQ GTS Monaro to go with my previous shots.

Zane Fix...is a New York City "fixture" as a modern Japanese Pop Artist www.jappopart.com/. Zane is quite the character, and quite the salesman for his art as I literally had to buy a piece of his artwork in order to get a photo of my "9th Perfect Stranger"!!! My son, and I loved his artwork first, then met the man Zane Fix, then the purchase...then the photo. I wanted a candid shot, so I just shot while he entertained my son, me, and the other shoppers that were buying up his art prints at his table in the Union Square Marketplace this past Saturday. Not wanting to interupt his sales flow, and trying to get a story about him, he suggested I go to his website...so following is the exerpt from his homepage that tells his story way better than I could. Do also look at his artwork as it is very good. He is on FaceBook, so you can "Friend" him too!!! www.facebook.com/zane.fix?ref=profile
""From the streets of New York City, to homes in the Hamptons, from offices in Paris, to restaurants in Tokyo and London, Zane Fix of Jap Pop Art is riding the tsunami of Hokusai’s ever-present 'wave'…" Zane Fix, the Artist behind Jap Pop Art, has been a fixture on the Art Scene in New York for several years. His unique blend of Eastern Style and technique, with Western sensibility can be seen on the streets as Fashion-Wear, and on the walls of homes and businesses all over the world. As a child, Zane was thoroughly intrigued with the Japanese Uniyoe wood block prints of Hokusai, Sharaku, and Utamaro. His father encouraged him to hone his innate skills as a draftsman by making copies of the works of these masters. After a two year tenure at New York City’s Cooper Union, School of Architecture, Zane left the world of visual arts to pursue a career in the music industry. His career started on the Bowery at the lengendary CBGB’s, and took him on a journey as a fretboard sideman all over the world for entertainers such as Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Ronnie Spector. Having made a name for himself with a solo recording contract and a TV Show on Fox, Zane Fix walked away from the industry and headed for Kyoto,Japan, to immerse himself in his first love as a child; the visual arts of feudal Japan. After nearly three years, he returned to New York with the vision of showcasing his work as a New Age Master of Woodblock prints, with his own special twist. Conjuring up the spirits of 17th and 18th Century Geisha, Kabuki Actors and Samurai, and blending them with his own 20th Century Rock Star, high fashion energy, he began creating a collection of images that shout to people of all walks of life from all over the world!"
Thank you, Zane for being my 9th Perfect Stranger!

Was at the South St Spring Festival and Nina was manning a table out side of the lengendary Dobbs, a famous Philly music club. Many acts played here before they became famous like Nirvana and George Thorogood. He still plays there. Turns out Nina is the owner. She says buying the club was a stretch but she wouldn't like doing anything else as much. A true music fan and promoter.
Thanks Nina for a nice conversation about Philly's music history and allowing me to take your portrait. Best of luck!

Ahhhh. It can be so satisfying to make epic hand shaped curls. So if you guessed earlier that I was going to make some curls, you’d be correct.
I might be doing my part for #movember and growing some beard stubble, but make no mistake, Elliot Norris is still the king of mustaches 😉.
But seriously, my Canyouhandlebar Secondary mustache wax applied after the Primary and it setting, makes for a strong mustache hold.
Happy Saturday everyone!

This training excercise took place in 1968, to see how fast the British Rhine Army (BAOR) could move across Germany,in response to the Soviet's whirlwind invasion of Czechslovakia that same year.
This exercise began in the early hours of the morning,we moved as a unit to a harbour area a few miles outside of our amp, and stood in those woods all day. As the light began to fade in the evening, we broke camp and drove through the night non- stop to the Harz area.

Bobby Hope was at West Bromwich Albion from 1959 to 1972. He made his first team debut against Arsenal on the 30th April 1960 aged just 16 years old. Bobby went on to make 398 (5 subs) appearances for the 'Baggies' scoring 42 goals. He scored Albion's first ever goal in a European Cup competition against D.O.S Utrecht in Holland. He played for Scotland at Schoolboy, Under 23 and full International level. The great Liverpool manager Bill Shackley once said "If you stop Bobby Hope....you stop West Bromwich Albion. Not only was Bobby Hope an outstanding player he is a really lovely and very funny guy. The photo was taken by my friend Laurie Rampling

Carlota making a batch of empanadas, based on her mother's legendary recipe. Carlota is from Spain, but has Argentinian heritage, and these are made in a more Argentinian style (especially the wrappings, which are from Argentina).
My wife and I have been so blessed to have become good friends of some of the most esteemed mineral field collectors in New Mexico, and have taken a number of trips there to explore the wonderful world of minerals and crystals in situ (natural state). Field collecting would typically involve great traveling and facing a variety of obstacles to reach the destinations—sometimes a matter of extremely challenging drives through some of the most remote areas with no real established roads or taking long treacherous hikes upon parking the 4-Wheel Drive, with heavy digging gear in hand and backpacks.
However, once the collecting area is reached, the experience is truly a special one. Often times the sites involve old abandoned mines, quarries, or natural caves. And sometimes, simply out in the open in desert areas or mountains . . .
It harkens back to the time of old prospectors and miners out West. In any event, Ramon (Ray) DeMark, perhaps the most highly respected legendary collector, has invited us on numerous occasions to collect in these fascinating areas and his personal claims. A long time retired officer and fighter pilot in the Navy, he has always possessed a deep passion for minerals in their natural crystal state, and has been the author of a number of first time discoveries, not only in the New Mexico region, but even the UP of Michigan and other areas. His partners, Brian Huntsman and Mike Sanders, to name a few, are also great collectors in the field, and when we have the opportunity to meet with them, the rewards are invaluable. Our friend from New Jersey, Mike Machette, has also become quite a good friend there, and absolutely loves the time spent out West in search of interesting minerals.
Had the opportunity last week to see and hear lengendary hard rock guitarist George Lynch
Mr Lynch played in a band called Dokken from 1982-1989 and 1996-1999 in between he has done quite a number of solo records.
His guitar sytle is in the vein of Eddie Van Halen.
I took around 100 pics that night and just thought this maybe one I could post here for some critque. I dont ususally so this type of photography but the chance to take a few pics that night was there so I readied my gear and took a bunch I think look really good.
