I stopped this man on the back streets of Leh as he walked along, spinning his prayer wheel. He was happy to pose for the portrait. Leh, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, northern India.

LADAKH : Day 2
Leh is at an altitude of 3505m asl (10,500 ft). The altitude of Leh is quite a lot for the human body to handle. Even with a gradual ascent, I know that beyond 2700m, the air feels perceptibly thin. So it is generally recommended that the first day should just be spent walking around Leh, getting acclimatised. Some people feel it perceptibly i.t.o. dizziness, vomiting, etc. But in our case there was no problem, maybe because we had prepared Diamox tablets (acetazolamide) to anticipate the mountain sickness and take a rest enough in airport before we leave Delhi, then of course we spent more 24 hours for essential acclimatization with just stayed at hotel and take a good rest during in Leh.
On the second day in Leh, we began to started our photographic tour that we had been planed before which are sightseeing to the city and headed to Alchi before we spend another night in Temisgam.
