Corner Toy shop(DOTS building)

I'm hardly one for superlatives, but it's an honor to be so overwhelmingly welcomed at Mississippi's first-ever LEGO event! As one excited parent told me, "This country could use more of this!" Filling tables at an exhibition is one thing, but showing how far you can take your creativity all while teaching valuable lessons about the world in which we all live is quite another. From the Baroque gardens of the Vatican, the amber rooftops of Tuscany and the shimmering Mediterranean coast of Alexandria - to the megatall skyscrapers of the Persian Gulf, the crown of Mughal Rajasthan and the gleaming pearls of Lujiazui - and the jewel on the Bosphorus in between! East meets West all on one block of exhibition tables here at BrickUniverse Jackson, and thousands of families from across Mississippi forgot all their differences for a few hours, wanting nothing more than to learn from the work of total strangers. I can only hope to have reciprocated; giving every moment of my attention to each and every inquiry. 🌸

It is a modular fish market sized 64x32 studs comprising seven pavilions and few bridges. The market is divided into wet goods and dry goods zone, with shops ranged from fish stalls, flower shop and grocery stores at Ground, and cafe and restaurant on the 1st Floor. Vibrant Coral and Dark Azur are adopted as colour palette of the design. Built with several types of window frames, a huge canopy provides weather proection to the people below. Enjoy shopping and eating with proper distancing!

I'm back with my newest moc, the Red London Telephone Box.

The model contains 1856 pieces and features lots of interesting details. The door can be opened to reveal an authentic detailed interior, complete with an old fashioned telephone.

As well as the phone box I've also included a British pillar box and a street lamp complete with hanging flower baskets.

I think the iconic London Telephone Box would be a great subject for a LEGO IDEAS set so I've uploaded it to the LEGO IDEAS website. If you like the model I'd be really grateful if you could head over and give the model your support. 10,000 votes and it could become a real set.

Thanks very much.

The white flowers surround this split-level house inspired by 20th Century modernist architecture. The SNOT windows along the livingroom and bedroom started this build and it is almost a little brother to my previous Artsand House MOC. As always, I've spent a lot of time working on the interiors and I'm pretty fond of the combined kitchen and livingroom myself. I hope you like it too!

My mum wanted a Christmas House for her little scene she and my sister built.

In order for it to be done in time for Christmas, I had to rush it near the end so it's far from perfect, but I still like its overall design.

In the nearly 400 years since its construction, Taj Mahal has risen to the status of “Crown of All Palaces.” Loosely etymologized from the Persian تاج “tāj” (meaning “crown”) and محل “maħall” (meaning “palace”), the epithet is entirely befitting this, the most refined edifice of all Mughal architecture. The entire 42-acre (17 hectares) complex was commissioned in 1632 and completed more than twenty years later in 1653. Defined by its red sandstone crenellated walls, the entire complex measures approximately 1,900 ft (580 m) in length and 1,000 ft (305 m) wide. It is oriented in a north-south direction with the mausoleum platform situated along the southern bank of the River Yamuna, just east of the city of Agra in Uttar Pradesh; India’s most populous state.

Taj Mahal is both exquisitely adorned in its refinement and manifestly representative of the achievements of the Mughal Empire. Its construction took place during the reign of Shah Jahan - fifth Mughal emperor from 1628 to 1658 – at a time when the Mughal Empire reached its zenith of cultural splendor. Shah Jahan commissioned numerous works during his reign, ushering in the golden age of Mughal architecture during which many of the greatest Indo-Islamic monuments were built. Crowning them all was the symmetrical, tripartite Taj Mahal complex; demonstrated by its at once vastly impressive scale and intricately adorned surfaces, including paving stones, inlaid precious stones and everything in between. It is for these reasons that UNESCO described Taj Mahal as “the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage” when it was designated a World Heritage Site in 1983.

This is my latest Moc an Visitor Centre located near a river. It's modeled after a paddle boat.

Got the exterior to the front entrance of the mansion near complete. So far so good. My client is happy so I am happy :D

Thanks very much.

Modern living inspired by old open-air-bath architecture as the house is standing on pillars in water and is offering an open space for bathing in the middle.

You enter the terrace through the rock on the backside of the house. On the terrace you find a small outdoor kitchen and table with chairs made of ladders and steering wheels. Kitchen, reading corner, livingroom and sauna with shower on first floor.

The house is entered from the terrace. A high plated wall goes though this floor leading from the hallway to the master bedroom and bathroom. Here you sleep with a 180 degrees sea view.

The floor below is reached by a floating staircase attached to the wall. A corridor with a resting chair (made of life preservers) and glass cabinet combines two parts of the house. One of them is hosting a kitchen and dining area. The other one is hosting a livingroom. Here you also find a small sauna and shower room with a ladder leading directly down to the water.

This is my third house built into a rock. The other two are called "Green Rock House" and "Calmwater Cliff House".

Two townhouses inspired by houses located on Upper East Side, Manhattan, New York. Each house is build as a separate 16x32 modular house. In total about 4800 bricks. Computer renderings but only existing bricks were used.

Stefano Garzya asked me to help him complete his Helm's Deep project. So I got to work and added the Great Hall, Mountain Side, staircases and did some structural work to bring his vision to life.

Hong Kong Tonglau (Series 2)

[WIP] Front facade done...

Most of my MOCs from the passed year 2017. My first year on Flickr. A very productive year - especially summer and autumn. I found "my thing" and started designing and building modern minifigurescale homes focusing both on exterior and interior. In the end of the year I experimented a bit building in microscale.

Thank you all for support and comments! I´m excited about 2018!

With this building I wanted to create a single-color house and instead of colors using a lot of structure on the facade. The building can be opened at the back and when fully opened, the two parts of the back expands the facade on the front and it becomes a 64 studs wide building. On the ground floor there is an architecture office and above that a large apartment. About 9700 bricks. Computer rendering but only existing bricks/colors were used.

The LEGO display at the Saginaw Castle Museum also includes a Detroit section which includes four skyscrapers:

1. Guardian Building (me)

2. One Detroit Center (Scot Thompson)

3. Book Building and Tower (Scot Thompson)

4. Buhl Building (Steve Ringe)

These were a few baseplates of my contribution to The Brothers Brick, Ninjago City Collaboration.

A modern house that emerged when playing with unsorted parts.

I always had a soft spot for those beautiful Victorian jubilee clocks which were a big inspiration here. The ornamentation is meant to honor the four pillars of the empire: engineering, aviation, seafaring and conquest. I purposely decided to use this „oldschool“ color scheme with only primary colors, black, white and grey to highlight its historic significance (in Lego terms of course).

Built for New Elementary Parts Festival, inspired by the Duomos of Florence and Milan.

See here for details on parts usage and build process.

Moving on up! Got the second story started :D

I see I am going to have to go back through the tower and give it come more texture to match the other walls.

My entry to Swebrick Brick Challenge for March 2018. The challenge was to use the minifig flipper footgear in a MOC. This part doesn´t come in that many colours and that made it even more challenging.

I came up with this small health center building. Lime green flippers are used as tree foliage and red flippers are used as awnings.

A short summary of the passing year.

Unfortunately, as usual, I managed to finish less projects than I planned.

But at the same time I built some previously unplanned models for collab LUG projects and for LEGO Poland.

Additionally I worked on the backstage of Lego Masters production which was a very interesting experience.

Happy new year!
