MOC Empire State Building

Lego's Architecture line includes a very nice rendition of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, built in Mill Run, Pennsylvania in the 1930s and famed for incorporating the terrain and the waterfall as major architectural elements. The Lego version, rated at Age 16+ and consisting of 811 pieces, costs $99.99 and is a very nice 3-hour build.

The landscape in progress, with large bricks as structural support below the visible terrain. Clear studless tiles are in place to simulate the waterfall.

My friend and I also built a tower in the build section of the LEGO Architecture display. This is 20 studs square IIRC, and over 50 bricks tall.

We probably cleared out most of their black 2x8 bricks, as we made a sturdy design for two layers and repeated that.

Lego House September 2022

Besides the trees I've built a few scenes from the books/show like Stannis's army approaching, Mance's army camped in the woods, etc

Modular buildings, based (loosely) on the free plans, provided by Kristel, on the Rebrickable site (rebrickable.com/mocs/kjw010/white-picket-fences), as well as on Kristel's site, (<a href="https://modularsbykristel.com/"

I'm proud to present you this MOC in Lego Architecture style designed by one of the most important and talented AFOL on the earth, Spencer_R! Thank to him, I managed to re-build it in Lego Digital Design before and then with real bricks! :)

Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater in Lego.

The terrain is complete. A pair of stacked 1x1 bricks, on top of a brown round 1x1 tile, becomes a shrub, and this set has 12 of them to add visual interest.

Set 21007 is modeled after New York City's Rockefeller Center. It consists of 240 pieces, is rated Age 10+, and took me 40 minutes to build.

The various buildings are starting to rise, and the streets are paved. A shiny gold 1x1 button is used to represent the statue at the Plaza.

For my first Lego Architecture sets, I decided on three New York City landmarks. With yet another trip to New York City about to start in a week, I wanted to get into a New York state of mind, just like the Billy Joel song.

Just a little Architecture projekt, that i build yesterday evening.

This MOC was created using 2 - 31050 Corner Deli sets, plus additional acquired parts from my collection. Features include a full deli sandwich creation station, a full bathroom inside the deli, and courtyard seating. Also on the first floor, the space is divided to allow a second establishment to conduct business (a small overpriced coffee shop). The patrons of either establishment can use either amenity that the Deli has (bathroom - courtyard seating).

Residence access is on the street side.

The entire second floor has a small efficiency/studio apartment, complete with a full (but very small) galley kitchen, a full (shower only) bathroom and a living/sleeping area. The Murphy bed design has once again come in handy here. The residence also has a nice expanded balcony for the residents with the sandwich sign hanging off the railing.

Access to the roof is through the skylight (as per the set) and there are 2 HVAC systems located there - one for the establishments below, and one for the apartment.

This is based on a reworking of the Lego Haunted House set, with some "assistance" from Kristel's free instructions from Rebrickable, and other inspirations from BCD Mansard as well as other examples available on other Lego fan sites on the internet. I'm happy with the outcome, especially with the line of the imbedded chimney, seen if the side of the building is not against another building.

I think we both prefer the Lego version to the real one...

The very first two Lego Architecture sets, released 2008, featured Chicago's two most prominent skyscrapers, the Sears Tower (Set 21000) and the John Hancock Center (Set 21001). The Hancock, which failed to replicate the real building's slanted exterior walls, was discontinued at the end of 2011, while the Sears Tower set was renamed the Willis Tower, to coincide with the renaming of the real thing.

The Willis Tower is a straightforward build using 69 pieces.

Foundation has been laid, complete with a round atrium.

Also known as Still Bend, this Frank Lloyd Wright house is located in Two Rivers, WI.
