More from the abandoned houses on Hooper Road in Central, Louisiana. I saw a surveyor's stake, so they probably won't be there much longer.
I'd love to know the story behind this small group of deserted houses, as they are full of belongings that were seemingly abruptly left behind.
This place was known as the "Waschkaue" with the baskets that are hung up used where miners used to lock their personal effects in the basket and their clothes and raise them to the ceiling.
The "Waschkaue" was the building within which miners changed their clothes before and after going underground. The pithead baths or showers found in collieries. The baskets are known collectively as "Kaue" or "Coop".

An abandoned factory makes for a cool spot to gather some moody shots. I liked the patina and redbrick combo and as I walked by it continued to grab my attention. Beaten up, boarded up, forgotten but with so much moody soul and atmosphere left behind. I was too scared to go inside though. Ghosts ya know...everywhere in this country.

Isa left me tonight...it hurts...she is a wonderful girl with a good heart. She also has a golden soul. I have never known anyone like her....
She says she can't give me what I want and need...I am heartbroken...I wanted to give her my all and my everything...
