Looking in the opposite direction to the Sunset at Kimmeridge, the horizon is a little clearer between the cloud bank and sea, giving softer light.
The long rock formations show at low tide with the ledges all around the bay at Kimmeridge
Another from the great shoot last week with fellow tog Chris Button. Visted Dancing Ledge on the jurrasic coast. Part of the ledge was blow up 100 years ago and used as a swimming pool by local schools. Slighty differret angle from the similar POV I have posted. I think I prefer this one. Thanks for any comments or favourites
I was taken photographs of Gannets nesting on the 500 feet sheer cliffs at Bempton Cliffs, East Coast of Yorkshire. Its only when I started to develop the RAW image in Lightroom that the story unfolded.
The Gannets clinging to the cliff edge for dear life with their young. A Kittiwake above had a fallout with its mate and was knocked off the ledge. I then spotted a little Puffin hiding in his hole at the top right. Then there is a Pigeon just sat there out place and waiting for something.
The 1.8 miles Ledges Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park circles around a sandstone outcrop with towering cliffs. It provides stunning view of the sharon sandstone and conglomerate rock formation.
Curves Between Ledges is a photograph taken at the Cleveland Metroparks Hinckley Reservation. This was taken just before sunset at Whipps Ledges.
no sandy bottoms in the Bay, just wonderful submerged rock formations and clean clear water.
summer vacation, Georgian Bay
The former Pere Marquette bridge that spans the Grand River in Grand Ledge is certainly impressive, and to me is more akin to a bridge you'd find in mountains out east than in the middle of Michigan. On a very pleasant day back in October 2007, Mr. Hall and I caught loaded stone train K908 heading east across the bridge with a former LMS C40-8W leading.

More mid afternoon snappery from the Coast of Dorset. Such a lovely day for a walk and play in the rockpools, who could resist.
I was delighted to finally find the Burton Ledge this time. It's always managed to elude me in the past, always the wrong tide or burried in shingle etc. Now I know where it is, I can hopefully return in optimum conditions.
Such a beautiful stretch of coast, in any weather. I might be bias tho ;)
Great shoot tonight with fellow tog Chris Button. Visted Dancing Ledge on the jurrasic coast. Part of the ledge was blow up 100 years ago and used as a swimming pool by local schools. I opted for a long exposre because I liked the effect it had on the reflections in the pool. Its a long walk but well worth it. Thanks for any comments or favourites
More aerial Utah. The never ending photo opportunities in Utah just amaze me. Whether shooting with my camera on the ground or using my drone in the air. These particular images cannot be created from the ground. The aerial views are unique and astounding. All images captured with my DJI Air 2S. Please view each image large for best details.
She stepped up to the cliff and thought,
"Sometimes it's easier to let yourself fall..."
But the wind had another idea and put out a call.
She ignored it, looking down over the wall
so it pushed her back up and helped her recall...
The last time she stood on the edge
the ground was much closer than she thought to the ledge
and seeing perspective upheld her pledge...
"The fear of falling
cannot stop me from climbing
even when falling
feels just like dying.
We all die a hundred times
in this winding existence
so let me live once
and discover my brilliance."

Finally got something from Kimmeridge I like this year. I made five trips in the last week alone before finally getting the light and conditions to combine for this.
Washing ledge is the largest ledge in the main bay, I cant remember how many times I've slipped over on the algae covered surface but it never puts me off risking it time after time! My wellies filled with water after about the second wave, don't know why I bother even putting them on!

The light eventually touched St Aldhelm's head in the distance, but annoyingly it also left the rest of the scene. Hence zoomed in tp focus on just the jagged edges of the rocks. Not a good place to be shipwrecked! After this the sun went behind bands of cloud an dit was clear that no light would return, sound I turned towards the sunset and the other 6 tripods.

Was taken to this lovely little spot this week by a great fellow tog. Looking forward to a revisit soon!
The Kane Creek Jeep Trail is very scenic. This ledge section is no exception, but you can't get distracted by the beauty. The trail is very narrow. At one point if feels like your driver-side tires are just hanging out in space.
Some years ago, at this spot, an ATV and driver went off the cliff. The driver was killed. the ATV is still down there.
Up close to the rocks and incoming waves.
From a sunrise shoot at Chalky Beach, Swansea Heads, NSW, Australia. The weather was overcast and cool with a few light showers, so I had to juggle camera, tripod and umbrella which was tricky in the windy conditions.
This beach is comprised mostly of rocks rather than sand, but the rocks are very interesting and varied in colour, shapes and textures which results in lots of opportunities for different compositions.
Thanks for any views, faves or comments on this or any of my photos.
