real life lessons start pretty early!

I feel really bad that I'm not giving anything my all anymore.

I've stopped learning, and even stopped even trying to learn.

I've not communicated properly with people.

Life seems to be floating by without me and I feel like I've been on a long trip and everything and everyone changed while I was gone.

But rather than feel hopeless and let it pass me by, I've decided to try again.

I am going to throw myself into things again and have a good attitude about it!

Goodbye Autopilot!

SO as my first drastic change as the new me, I chopped off all my hair.

Yikes!

I plan to go flickrmail all my flickrfriends now because I havent done that in a while.

Okay enough of this affirmation girl crap!

Happy Tuesday :)

Today I shot a wedding. The pictures to me are nothing special. I did not do as well as I would have liked... However, I did learn some at least. First of all, make sure the subjects are pulled well away from the wall, especially when using an external flash. I still need to learn how to use an external flash. I played around with the one I borrowed before today, but it wasn't good enough.

Other things I need to work on: Giving directions (including how to cut a freakin' wedding cake), better posing for certain parts (cake cutting), not missing shots (a lot of the "must have" shots were blurry because I wasn't ready, and there is definitely more.

On the positive side, the bride was amazingly gorgeous, they already had a ton of wedding photos taken in Thailand where she is from, and I think that they should be happy with the shots I got for the price I charged.

First wedding = done.

Tapping out beats, rhyming words, and practicing letter sounds is so much fun with Quynn Johnson! Pre-K + K students and teachers at Margaret Brent Elementary in Baltimore City Public Schools have been exploring literacy through tap in this Early Learning residency.
