Clifford the Big Red Dog: Clifford's Neighborhood Lots to Learn All Around Town and Clifford Makes the Team youtu.be/p5hva_-EGC8 Clifford the Big Red Dog is an educational animated children's television series, based upon Norman Bridwell's children's book series of the same name. Produced by Scholastic Productions, it originally aired on PBS Kids from September 4, 2000 to February 25, 2003. The UK version (where it was dubbed with British voice actors replacing the original American soundtrack) originally aired on BBC 2 on April 1, 2002. Subscribe Clifford the Big Red Dog : goo.gl/uFbQdL Clifford's Puppy Days - Clifford the big red dog - Clifford's Really Big Movie Playlist : goo.gl/4LX9sX Two 15-minute stories made up each half-hour cartoon. Usually one story featured Clifford and his canine friends, Cleo and T-Bone among them; the other story would focus on Clifford's owner Emily Elizabeth and her friends. As in other shows of its kind, during scenes focusing on the dog character's perspective, human speech would replace barking to engage viewers in the storyline from the dogs' point of view. John Ritter voiced Clifford in all episodes. This was originally done by Brent Titcomb in the series that debuted in 1988 and ran into the early 1990s. Generally speaking, his schedule dictated the production of Clifford the Big Red Dog. By the time the last of the 68 half-hour cartoons and the movie were completed, Ritter was back on ABC's prime-time schedule, starring in 8 Simple Rules. Ritter's death on September 11, 2003 came less than a week before PBS debuted Clifford's Puppy Days, a function of keeping Clifford's legacy going. While no new Clifford episodes have been released since Ritter's death in 2003, voice actors for the main characters have reprised some of their roles for the Ready to Learn PBS Kids PSAs. The film Clifford's Really Big Movie serves as the series finale due to Ritter's death, as no new episodes were made to continue from where it left off. However, Clifford's Puppy Days still continued to air until its cancellation in 2006 ***** Thanks for Watching *****

"Having a team of people at MSU who understand thermal processing and the needs of the industry gives processors a place to come and test their beans. The partnership also benefits the industry in that my students get involved and learn thermal processing, and the industry snatches them up. It's a win-win for everyone."

History of the Club and Three Sisters

Three Sisters Recreation Area was reclaimed from three coal mining spoil heaps during 1970’s. It now mainly comprises a large area of woodland and ponds.

The area has become flagship example of brownfield regeneration within the Greater Manchester area, creating a popular local attraction. The main point of interest within the site is the popular motor sport circuit, which is mainly used for kart racing, but also holds regular motor cycle racing and testing, as well as car rallies and sprints. A racing drivers school is also located here, where people learn the art of racing and gain their licences. During the 1980’s and early 1990’s, Three Sisters also had a popular BMX track which featured the famous ‘Wigan Whoops’ and ‘King Kong’ obstacles.

Preston & District Motor Cycle Club was formed in the early 1900’s and mostly ran MotoX and Trials. The club first ran Road Race meetings 1974 at the old Longridge Quarry Circuit, up until it’s closure in 1979. The club then contacted the newly constructed Three Sisters Circuit, and began racing there in 1980 on the original ¾ mile track. The circuit was then owned by Wigan Borough Council, but is privately owned and run nowadays. In the early years, the circuit ran race meetings with all disciplines together including karts, scooters, bicycles (in which we played a big part) and even model airplanes. PDMCC also used to help the Vintage club to stage meetings. Many other clubs used to run motor cycle meetings at Three Sisters including Fleetwood, Shaw & District and Bolton. Also, Auto 66 and Derby Phoenix have held meetings here in the past, but PDMCC remains the only motor cycle club to race there, apart from Supermoto.

The circuit was later extended by the inclusion of the hill at the end of the straight, as it stands today. The circuit has served the PDMCC very well over the years, and many distinguished and successful riders began their careers with us including James Toseland, Neil Hodgson, Simon Beck, Phil Mellor and Casey Stoner. We still pride ourselves in introducing new talent and successful riders into the world of motor cycle racing

It is important to learn from recent tragedies such as the garment factory collapse in Savar, Bangladesh – a supplier to a significant amount of Western corporations, many seeking to be seen as “sustainable” – and better understand what corporations, consumers and investors can do about preventing such tragedies in the future. Western corporations wield tremendous economic influence with regard to the standards they expect their suppliers to not only adopt, but follow. Proof that corporations can be influenced to adopt and enforce standards at all levels of their operations can be found in sustainability reporting. The Center for Safety and Health Sustainability has recently found that many “sustainable” corporations listed in the Corporate Knights Global 100 report significant fatalities across their supply chains in their sustainability reports. One reported 49 fatalities in one year. The Center for Safety and Health Sustainability argues that a corporation should not be considered sustainable is it does not undertake appropriate measures to ensure the safety and health of its workers, including those in its supply chain. But corporations are overwhelmingly not using metrics that reflect transparency, nor are they using metrics that encourage proactive occupational safety and health practices. The Center has developed a list of key safety and health performance indicators to be used in sustainability-related reporting that address these shortcomings, promoting the use of occupational safety and health management systems, extending coverage to temporary or fixed duration contract workers, and increasing focus on workers for suppliers in the developing world. The Center has recently recommended that GRI consider these indicators so that it may improve the scope and global applicability of its G4 safety and health indicators and better enable organizations to improve their performance on worker safety and health.
