Unusual radio aerial lead-in spotted on a local school. Co-axial tube with centre knurled terminal and offset earth terminal.
Little bit fancier than the general arrangement of a single tube lead-in: would have saved on holes!
Date of installation unknown.
I think we are drawn to dogs because they are the uninhibited creatures we might be if we weren't certain we knew better. They fight for honor at the first challenge, make love with no moral restraint, and they do not for all their marvelous instincts appear to know about death. Being such wonderfully uncomplicated beings, they need us to do their worrying.

2 late goals in added time cost Longridge the 3 points today. Longridge took in a half time lead of 2-0 with goals from Danny Wilks and Stu Vasey. Vaseys goal was contested that it did not cross the line but i have added the unfocused image showing that it had.
Synthetic Fluorescent Mineral: Salt w/ Lead Nitrate and Manganese Sulfate - UV
This 2.5" wide melt consists of sodium chloride activated with a large amount of lead nitrate (in center). After cooling 1mL of MnSO4 was placed in the center. Water was slowly added to dissolve the MnSO4. The sample was then allowed to recrystallize.

lead vocalist and guitarist Lzzy Hale, her brother drummer and percussionist Arejay Hale, guitarist Joe Hottinger, and bassist Josh Smith form Pensylvania's Halestorm. The new Tall Case / Grandfather Clock looks much better here - in the Study.
Clock is The House of Miniatures kit 40018 a William and Mary tall case clock c. early 1700s.
This 'Study' (Home Office? Gent's Retreat?) is in the middle of the cabinet dolls' house (a converted display cabinet with lead-light glass doors). It is a small room, rather dark and quite unfinished.
That 'brass' lamp is looking really short next to the clock.
I started this dolls' house in 1986 - it was going to be for my daughter but she wasn't really interested (expect to show it off to a few friends). It all started when I saw a print advert (in a local rag? or mag? can't remember) and I trotted off to a dodgy warehouse full of dodgy guys to buy a mixed lot of dolls' house furniture - about $50 worth. One of the pieces was the roll-top desk at the back of this room - it was a little broken - at the bottom so quite mendable.
Over the years I've worked on this dolls' house quite sporadically - but have accumulated quite a lot of furniture and stuff for it.

Old gas station in Griffin, IN. This pump was for leaded gasoline, .33¢ a gallon.
After converting to black & white, I added a 1 pixel Gaussian blur because it looked too sharp for an "old" picture.
The Mendips, now a largely bleak wind and rain swept area populated by sheep, farmers and people who think blood sports are cool, was once a heavily industrialised area. This chimney and pond are relics from that past. The lead miners who worked here were eventually put out of business by competition from cheap imports. New technology perfected in Cornish tin mines enabled the extraction of more lead from the waste products left behind by the original miners but this proved to be a last hurrah for Somerset lead works. They left behind a poisoned landscape and very little evidence of their labours.
