extremely extremely rough layout for the new solar decathlon page. i'm feeling tired and rather cranky so i'm gonna do the css and template in the morning.

The owner of this bar loved this ad. He liked how I highlighted the new patio by using angles and silhouettes.

I am starting to use more 3D effects in ads to grab attention and find that giving the impression of depth or layers in an ad keeps a person's eyes on an ad longer.

These letters are very fun! The product is something that I got from my local craft store -- they were very beautiful teal glittered letters. They are meant for wall decoration -- but I think they look wonderful on my layout! I'm pretty sure I'm breaking the "no acid" with these letters -- but the image and layout is more for fun then long lasting. I have the image in other layouts and don't need this specific layout to last my life and beyond without yellowing.

I forget how difficult page layout can be sometimes. Fitting a specific amount of text and imagery into a set amount of space. I think I have white space issues here that I can hopefully resolve. Illustrations coming soon after I do these mock ups.

For this layout, I wrapped black ribbon around the green frame for texture, and used glimmer mist in the left hand corner, sprinkeling a few extra drops all over the page.
