A picture from Danish LUG Byggepladen's layout at the 2012 LEGO Fan Weekend in Skærbæk, Denmark. This is, I believe, a Swedish neighbourhood.
BR/Derby Class 115 DMU leaving Marylebone station in summer 1984, bound for Aylesbury.
These units ran on this service until summer 1992, and 16 cars have been preserved..
The track layout here has changed considerably, today.

I’ve managed to get a lot of work done on the layout recently and have gotten many things done.
I’ve managed to finish all the ballast work and added light grey plates around the ties to get more detail.
I have also been slowly adding more trees to the layout and have been able to build up a more wooded area to the left of the road.
Since I started the layout I have been slowly building up some commercial buildings on the right of the road. The exteriors are mostly done except for some roof detail and they are all needing some more interior work.
In front of the buildings I have replaced the awkward road baseplate i h a brick built parking lot, although I used up most of my dark grey bricks, I still think it was worth it.
All in all I’m happy with my progress and am now working on mor finer details for the layout!

Part of an N-gauge layout of mine ca. 1984 or so.
This is a little shack to lend flavor to a layout of mine that was centered around coal mining. The shack was illuminated, had wired telephone poles leading to it so one could reasonably imagine the denizens therein actually had power, and a little ham radio antenna, because as a ham myself, I could well imagine some fellow, all hermit-like, sitting there spending his time at his radio, endlessly talking about the weather. I built the antenna and the tower out of clipped ends of resistor leads, soldered together. The tower used heavier leads than the antenna; it came out OK, I thought. You can see the antenna easily, but only the top of the tower in this photo.
The shack itself was, if I recall correctly, kit-bashed out of a small train station kit.
I had fun perching the shack precariously against the hillside, and weathering it, because deep in my heart, I knew that ham guy wasn't ever going to paint that thing. :-)
I can't believe how quickly the weather can change here in the midwest! We had a snow day on Monday and by Friday we had near 60 degree temperatures!
I had taken screen shots on Mon and Fri for project life, but then today I decided to make a layout about it.

Budapest, former Ministry of Justice, designed by Alajos Hauszmann, built in 1891-1896, eclectic style.

History of the building:
The building in which the Museum of Ethnography is now housed was originally built by Alajos Hauszmann (1847-1926) for the Ministry of Justice. As such, its grand style and richly ornamented interior reflect the majestic and powerful place Hungary's government occupied in Europe at the time. Sitting opposite the Parliament in Kossuth tér, its grand, stone-clad facade is ornamented with columns and statuary, and above, with a three-horse chariot holding the figure of the guiding spirit of the enlightenment.
Once through the dimly lit, restrained foyer, however, visitors find themselves amidst the splendour of the main hall. Grand staircases, classical columns of multi-coloured marble, stucco and gilt decorations and a huge ceiling fresco make the importance of this building and its original function clear.
After World War II, damages to the building were repaired and the entire palatial construction renovated by the architect Elemér Csánk. In 1950 the Institute of the Hungarian Labour Movement moved into the building. Later, in April 1957, it was occupied by the Institute of Party History and the Hungarian National Gallery. The Museum of Ethnography moved in in 1973.
In-depth building information:
On 7 November 1891 Alajos Hauszmann (1847-1926) was commissioned by Justice Minister Dezső Szilágyi to plan a building for the Ministry of Justice. On 11 June 1892, Hauszmann presented a blueprint and specifications for a new hall of justice to be constructed in the style of buildings in Rome. The main façade of the building was to be entirely of stone, while at the sides stone was to be used only for the pedestals and cornices. The foundation was to be constructed of layers of concrete, the roofing supported by iron girders, and the ceiling over the hall and second floor made of reinforced concrete. According to a clause appended to provision 2 of Hauszmann's contract, the entire building, or at least the entrance hall, great hall, stairways, and the ceremonial hall were to be completed by 1 May 1896, so that the millennial celebrations of the Hungarian state might be held there.
The building permit was approved by the City Council of Pest with the approval of the Council for Public Works on 15 June 1893. Actual construction of the building diverged little from the original plan. Work was begun 16 August, 1893 and the building completed 1 May 1896. The total cost of construction was 2,454,851.23 Hungarian forints, subsequently paid in instalments under Article XXVI of a financial act passed in 1899. A document written on Corvine parchment, was laid in the cornerstone, and Alajos Hauszmann was accorded the "Pro litteris et artibus" merit award for his work.
In terms of both form and layout, the Hall of Justice is certainly one of Alajos Hauszmann's greatest achievements. The original letter of commission had specified that the building should be grandiose, but should also display a certain degree of restraint. Constructed in antique Roman style, the building possesses four façades (the main façade facing Kossuth tér, those at the sides facing Szalay u. and Alkotmány u., and the back façade facing Vajkay u.), covers an area of 6392m2, and has a total floor space of 165,104m3. Despite its strict proportions, the building's ornamentation, and especially that of the interior, is executed playfully, while its bulk is distributed effectively, and its horizontal and vertical lines maintain an elegant balance.
The switching layout is now pretty much finished. All areas are polished off and it’s a blast to operate. I’ve been quite happy with all the subtle details I’ve been able to model with this layout. It’s very fun to operate and I think really compliments whatever is running at the time!

Well, Well... fiquei bastante tempo sem postar devido a muitas coisas que vem acontecendo recentemente. Não terei tempo para o mundo do designer ao menos por algum perÃodo e antes desse hiatus queria fazer esse layout que considero minha 'masterpiece' criativa e que foi feito com muita dedicação para que ficasse extremamente perfeito e único.

Before we go any further into the store, let's take a look at its layout. (This time, I was able to find a floor plan from SDCI, which is good because my pictures were not helping me figure out its relatively-complicated layout :) )
This store basically has the traditional "grand aisle" layout that I always find odd. I think it's more of a typical layout for Kroger, however. Features to note include the detached liquor store (formerly a state liquor store before those went away), pharmacy walk-up window, and kids play area by customer service. (The latter is common in Fred Meyers, but this is the only one I've come across so far in a QFC.) Also, I'm pretty sure the space between the liquor store and the main store (labeled "grocery storage" is the new ClickList area.

This is what my Train & Town layout will look like when finished... it's a little cramped, but it works for now. I just need the tunnel and refueling towers in real life and that's it.

This was the tag off my newest Warhol bag!! I loved the photobooth photos of him. Totally cute. So I had to use them on this colorful layout. This was so fun!!! Thanks for the challenge- which made me totally step out of my box!!! :)

layout is coming together, I will be working on flying geese today for the corner wraps with more white background...the better to quilt.
This will be the layout for your pillow. The fabrics will be scappy - the background will be white (or better dark for you?).
