Used virtually all of my baseplates to create this layout, with the help of a program I wrote which enables me to shuffle plates easily around the computer screen - fairly useful when you don't have much physical floor space to work with!
Bom, eu AMEI esse layout. Ficou muito lindinho *-*
Bom, é pra vender e eu troco o artista e somente o tom de rosa. Veremos, o que posso fazer.
Codificação para Cutenews ok?

I’ve been to Venice once or twice for brief business trips during my life, which had the same characteristics as the business trips I described in a separate Flickr album about Paris — i.e., they basically involve flying into a busy airport at night, taking a taxi to a generic business-traveler’s hotel (a Hilton in Venice looks just like a Hilton in Cairo, except perhaps for the canal outside the main entrance), and then spending several days working in the hotel (if the purpose of the trip was a seminar or computer conference), or at a client’s office (also “generic” in most cases — you can’t even tell what floor you’re on when you get off the elevator, because every floor of “open office” layouts is the same). The trip usually ends in the late afternoon or evening of the final day, with a mad dash back to the airport to catch the last plane home to NYC. Thus, a business trip to Venice is almost indistinguishable from a business trip to Omaha. Or Albany. Or Tokyo.
But Venice is different from almost any other place in the world, and I’ve had a couple of vacation trips to experience that side of the city. But it’s been a long, long time: the first such visit was back in 1976 (which you can see here on Flickr), and the second visit was in 1983 (pictures of which do exist on Flickr, but have been restricted to family-only access, since they consist mostly of boring pictures of drooling babies and kids sticking their collective tongues out at me).
Thirty years is a long time between visits … but for a city like Venice, I doubt that very much has changed. Well, perhaps there wasn’t a McDonald’s outlet in Venice when I first came here (and I did photograph one such outlet on this current visit, which you’ll find in this album), and you can certainly guarantee that people weren’t walking around with cellphones and smartphones the way they are today. And while the tourists typically did have cameras back in the good-old-days, they were typically modest little “Instamatic” film-based gadgets, rather than the big, garish, DSLR cameras that everyone now seems to carry around with them, complete with advertising logos all over the camera-straps and bodies to remind you that they, too, can afford to buy an expensive Canon or Nikon gadget that they really don’t know how to use properly. (Sorry, I got carried away there …)
But the buildings, and the people, and the canals, and the gondolas … all of that is the same. And that’s what I’ve tried to capture in this set of photos. The tourist crowds are now so thick (even in May!) that I didn’t even bother going to the square at San Marco, and I didn’t bother taking any photos from the Rialto bridge over the Grand Canal; but you will see some photos of tourists in this album, along with photos of the local people who are still here …
I don’t expect to come back to Venice again in the next year or two … but if it turns out to be 20 or 30 years before my next return, I suspect it will all look pretty much exactly the same as it did on this trip, and in 1983, and when I first saw it in 1976.
Adorei esse topo ficou muito perfeito e sem falar q a foto da rihanna ta linda *---*
eu ainda estou acabando a codificação do layout :/
comentem ae, o que acharam ^^
The main layout at the Norwegian LUG Brikkelauget's annual exhibition in late April. This is Baard's fantastic modular version of the Baptist Church of Sandefjord - a gorgeous model. What you can't see is how this building looked when Baard arrived at the event on the Friday - it was totally smashed, so he spent most of the time until the event opened to the public on Sunday rebuilding the whole thing. Very impressive!

This illustration shows the current version (v.5) of the track plan/module configuration for my Fareham layout project. This may change as I continue to build the layout; however, I have more or less used it to build the first 4x modules. The modular tables I am using are shown as alternating pink/blue rectangles and are nominally 45"x30" (3x2 48-stud baseplates). The rear section of the layout (at the top of the drawing) is a planned yard/storage area. I may change this section in order to accommodate more stock and to include "offsite" junction connections to modular club layouts. I will focus any changes on eliminating track sections which cross table boundaries. I want to ensure track sections are aligned with table boundaries so that they can be semi-permanently mounted to the table for better reliability.
The layout essentially consists of two main running lines each with independent control. Either line can be assigned to DCC operation or to one of 2x 9V DC "cabs". There is a C-Bus control network which runs around the layout to control the switches and the signals. Some of the boards also have independent switches for the lighting, e.g. street or platform lamps.
With track laid and wired, I have added the backscene boards for this peculiar layout. Roughly three quarters of the surface will be scenic, with the remaining quarter used for return loops and a storage / depot area.
The part of the layout nearest the camera will effectively have two scenes 'back to back'. The nearest 'hole' to the camera allows two tracks through the backscene and will be disguised by a rail overbridge - the railway line of course having negligible width.....! At last come uppance for all those railway layouts with impossibly narrow streets squeezed into the background!
The further 'holes' provide for the return loops - each approx 3.5" radius, together with a single track entrance to the depot , and at the very far end another rail overbridge.
All this is possibly a new way of doing things - I wonder if it will work?
Meanwhile, the next task will be to build and wire a control panel - there are something like thirty sections requiring switches and also some arrangements to allow controllers to be switched between areas. The panel will be sited with controllers above the loops and depot storage.
The setting will be South London in the 1950s - a place with double deck London Trams...... and a fair number of rail over bridges!
Perhaps an all too simplistic diagram for such a complex subject. But there is a definite balance to strike when considering the layout of a web page in relation to the users and the client's wants and needs. The purpose of the page will obviously influence this but its something that is a constant struggle and getting it right results in conversions, and increased user interaction.

This is one of my favourite piece of work. Clean and simple layout, I still like it after 2 years. Haha. Enjoyed putting the animals and trees together on the fading earth.

The switching layout is now pretty much finished. All areas are polished off and it’s a blast to operate. I’ve been quite happy with all the subtle details I’ve been able to model with this layout. It’s very fun to operate and I think really compliments whatever is running at the time!
HO Scale Layout coming soon. This is a double track 4x8 with a small yard and Western High Desert style scenery. Powered double crossover. Comes in either DC or DCC controls included.
Oi gente! Fiz esse lay pra fofas do site OhBensonBrasil.com. Elas adoraram e eu também. O layout foi codificado pelo Igor, do Fast Designs e eu adorei o resultado.
