This is what I have planned so far for my February exhibition. It will likely cover a few different creative progressions, all the way back to the Body Series. The colored empty boxes are paintings or studies not yet completed, anything filled in, I'm fairly certain I will have for the show, and the cluster of works in the corner are pieces I may have access to if I'm lucky.
It may look like I'm in good shape, but seven of the paintings in my layout have been recently delivered to galleries. There's a chance they could sell and then I'll be short work again. We shall see. Hopefully if they sell locally, I can get them on loan from the buyers.
Layout for my Scrap Tech Tuesday at Scrappin' Patch, demonstrating machine stitching on layouts. This layout is about a funny thing Aurelia said, and the journalling reads: You are such a clever girl. Your Daddy was trying to explain something to you, but your reply was "Well, I know somebody who knows better... my Mummy." Feb 2009. Such a bright spark!! Lol.

The Tomb of Tự Đức (Lăng Tự Đức in Vietnamese), officially Khiêm Tomb (Khiêm Lăng), is located in Huế, Vietnam. It is built for the Nguyễn Emperor Tự Đức and took three years to build from 1864–1867. It is divided into a Temple Area and a Tomb Area. The layout of the complex is quite similar to the tombs of the Ming emperors in China.

Esse projeto talvez tenha sido o mais difícil, precisava expressar em poucas palavras quem sou eu, difícil falar de mim mesma, fiquei um tempão aqui pensando e cheguei à conclusão que essa seria a melhor forma de definição prá mim. É assim mesmo que sou, quem me conhece sabe bem e pode assinar embaixo...rs. Vivo um dia de cada vez e cada momento como se fosse o último, amo as pessoas que me rodeiam e faço questão de demonstrar, sou otimista, acho sempre que amanhã será melhor que hoje, coloco muito amor em tudo o que faço e sendo assim, sou feliz. Esse projeto modifiquei também, completamente, a versão original tinha duas borboletas e um passarinho, achei muito e os aboli, a foto grande do projeto era colorida e eu mudei prá preto e branco, pois achei que nesse caso a foto colorida deixaria o cenário carregado, desta forma consegui dar destaque às fotos. As fotos pequenas não faziam parte do projeto inicial, resolvi fazer para demonstrar as fases que passei e que julgo terem sido importantes. A borboleta rosa era apenas pintada, eu tinha uns cascalhos da época em que fazia biju (pois é, já fiz quase de tudo nessa vida), eu a revesti com eles e apliquei resina incolor, nas flores apliquei o glitter como estava no projeto original e acrescentei os botões verdes como miolo. Os corações foram desenhados à mão.

I'm a day late but so wanted to try out the all black and white layout. I cheated a teeny bit because there are hints of green. I am totally in love with this layout. So much fun!
