I thought I had this shot all figured out until I tried it. But with no additional lighting, the lava lamp wasn't bright enough to see the base and it was bad! I tried a couple of different things and ended up with a covered flashlight. But still not getting what I had hoped for. I sat down the flashlight to take a look at what I had done, and when I looked up - Bam! There was exactly what I wanted, the flashlight was pointing in the opposite direction reflecting off my dresser and giving me the perfect light!
