This 22.5-foot wake boat welcomes as many as 13 with versatile seating, comfort and wake sport performance. The Launch 22V interior brings resilient multi-textured Syntec NANO Block vinyls together with the durability of exclusive Gore Tenara thread. Triple density foam construction makes the interior as cushy as it is beautiful. Supra has made the high-traffic path from the lounge to the swim step worry-free with a fiberglass seat step and transom walkacross. The wakes are multi-discipline and pro caliber. Control your curl and your ramps with cockpit switching or a Touch of the VISION. As fun to drive as it is to ride, the 22V slices through rough water with flat precise turns. New cadets assigned to Company A were on the range July 28 for weapons familiarization. Soldiers attached to the 3rd Battalion, 304th Training Regiment out of Lewiston, Maine, instructed new cadets on the assembly and firing of the M249 SAW (squad automatic weapon) and the M240 machine gun. Following a safety briefing, they learned the main differences between the two machine guns and what field environments they are most effective. Before sending rounds downrange, the new cadets practiced loading and clearing the weapons and what to do if it malfunctions. Photo by Mike Strasser, West Point Public Affairs

More than 800 students from across the U.S. and Puerto Rico launched nearly 50 high-powered, amateur rockets April 15, near NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, during the Agency's annual rocket competition.
For the past nine months prior, teams of middle school, high school, college, and university students were tasked to design, build, and launch a rocket and scientific payload to an altitude between 4,000 and 6,000 feet, while making a successful landing and executing a scientific or engineering payload mission.
Student Launch is one of NASA's eight Artemis Student Challenges - a series of activities providing students access to the Artemis program. Through Artemis, NASA will return humans to the Moon for long-term exploration, including landing the first woman and first person of color on the lunar surface, missions that will help pave the way for future missions to Mars.
The 2023 launch event and award ceremony are available to view on NASA's Marshall YouTube and Student Launch Facebook pages.

We have just launched our sister site, modelab. Check it out and let us know what you think.
modeLab is the research entity of Studio Mode. It is conceived of as a laboratory and serves as a knowledge base for design research and experimentation. The laboratory is distributed in nature and operates across multiple time-scales and locations ranging from intensive workshops to design studios throughout North America and Europe.
Our primary objective is to discover novel and inventive design solutions through the identification of key concepts relevant to contemporary architectural discourse and the development of related maps of action.

Another shot of the small tortoiseshell butterfly. I didn't realise how much the butterflies love lavender until we planted some in a rockery this year. I started keeping the telephoto lens close by to try and catch them. Just a few of the shots I took came out clearly. This one reminded me of the launch pad on an aircraft carrier ... poised for take-off!
