A few pics of an Epic Detail.... a lot of before shots and 50/50's in this set! Everything was covered from paint correction to interior, motor, sand blasting and re-painting the latches..... Rusted latch close-up seen at Battery Townsley, along the Coastal Trail in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Marin Headlands, California.
On the East Somerset Railway. I have a vague idea that this is on the ex-Southern Region experimental carriage S1000S, but I'm not completely sure. It certainly looks like a Southern Region door latch.

This was a reeeally unsafe window ledge, leading out to a fire escape, that I proceeded to lean out of to take photos :)
The lock doesn't come with any fittings and so I have to make the latch strike for the door frame and key hole from 3mm stainless plate.
Ok... there is underground and there is waaaaay underground. And, Electro Smog is definitely it. Such a great little place filled with a decor that just screams that it is a happening, cool spot on the grid.
I listened to DJ Latch Castaignede with a great party spin of tunes keeping us all hopping around. I was in the zone and I really liked the lightening. Dark but every avie could be seen from across the room. Nice... I'll be back for more...
You probably can't tell what it is yet, and I'm certainly not going to ruin the surprise by telling you!
I was obsessed with latch hook rugs a few years back and created a bunch of fun little purses. I've been getting requests to revive them but not sure if that will happen. In the meantime, you can check out this photo.
