Phoebe is an exclusive through the Toy Shoppe. She's lovingly referred to as Drucilla's sister. he he... She's one of Kim's MSD size, about 16".
Not much to say about this, I can't remember what I did to edit it and all I actually like is my eyelashes and medusa piercing. Rest of this picture is a load of bollocks.
We all know that most human lashes are tooo long for BJDs, even for SDs.
And Some of you sure tried to cut it at the top and found it look not so nice ^^
With this little trick it is possible to use the human lashes.
You need lashes, glue, a brush, a plastic surface that can get messe up with glue and of curse siccors.
It works best with the fuller lashes, I guess with these stroky things taht having gaps between the lashes it would be not so easy to handle..
First cut the lashes to the desired length.
Then apply some glue to the lashes paralell to the end of the lashes on both sides, just to make sure...
I tried it a little askew to make it more even in the length but glued in, the ankle is a little bit wierd..
Then it is time to wait.. Depending on the glue, temparature and humidity.. normally 30-45 minutes should be fine.
I like the wood glue, because it gets transparent, when it dries.
When you wait to long and it is dried for hours it can crack when you bend the lashes to fit it in.
We wait until there is just a little bit of white left.
Then cut it next to the glue or slightly in the glue, when you got a wide stripe of glue.
The glue is the new band. Then you can apply it to your doll like normal lashes..

Limited Edition OOAK doll in her new box.
She has a full facial repaint and her lashes are trimmed to look more neutral. Her hair is restyled.
Her gown is changed: the "wings" are removed, I also removed her (in my opinion aweful) rose-belt and her underskirt. I added rhistones to her sleeves and to her bodice making a new belt. She also has some red rhinstones now in her crown.
I also made a new background for her box, it´s a collage of all the wishes the fairies give her in the movie. In my opinion it suits her better than the pink background she had before.

Kate's lashes are so dark and so long, they cast a serious shadow!
Shot on her very own Nikon D80, with an SB800 (I think it was) held not far away, triggered by Nikon's niftier-than-I-knew-at-the-time (it was still in TTL metering mode when I took this) "commander mode".

Alas, there's also a sad story here. After borrowing Kate's camera for a while, and taking a number of images with it (many of Kate, and a bunch of others, too), I asked if I could get the files... And she said yes, so I pulled out my card reader and laptop, pulled out her card, and put the pieces together, and somehow everything sorta blew up. My computer wedged, and when I rebooted it, it wouldn't recognize the card. It wouldn't mount automatically, and I got I/O errors (that's unix-geek for "bad things are happening") when I tried to mount by hand. Someone (alas, if I got your name, I've since forgotten it -- I'm so horrible with names sometimes) suggested putting the card back in the camera, and tethering, to get the photos that way. That seemed to work, and I copied the card that way, but then when I got things into Lightroom (or Aperture, which had problems with the same files, and just gave an even less informative error than what Lightroom gave), it said that "An unexpected end-of-file occurred" for many of the photos. :-( :-(
This is one of the photos that made it. 133 out of 244 on the card, many of which were Kate's photos, not mine, didn't make it. :-(
I'm deeply sorry, Kate, for anything that I may have done wrong to cause this to happen. And I'm sorry that it happened, whether or not it was my fault at all. Some of our best photos, I think (based on the camera-generated thumbnails, which did come through (in Lightroom, anyway -- Aperture gets them and then discards them, sigh), are among the corrupt files. :-( (the files in question are, in fact, seriously smaller than they ought to be. about 10% of normal size.)
I don't know if there's anything that can be done to recover the data... If anyone has any insights on such things, I'd be glad to hear them.
(Geek mode: I've looked at things in dcraw a little, and it looks like I may be able to recover a bit more data there than Lightroom shows me, so that's something... but not, alas, for all the shots. And for some shots, it gives me less.)
