The KG-17 is the current Serconasian service rifle and was introduced into service replacing the older KG-15.
The bullpup rifle holds a magazine for 30 rounds of 5.56x45mm.
At the top the V2 is shown with it´s laser sights instead of the earlier combination of flip-up iron sights and laserpointer (V1).
At the bottom the DMR-variant (KG17VS) is shown with a longer barrel and a scope adjustable from 3x up to 9x zoom. A bipod is usually added by not included in the picture.
The safety system allows for single and automatic fire.

Any feedback is appreciated as it´s one of my "more recent" builds and also took me a bit longer.

- Last laser abstract with really cool, defined pattern. The beam centre is seen in the middle but I cannot remember what material the beam went through to generate this pattern.
Tigger loves to chase the laser pointer light and when we lived in Yubari, we had wooden floors that she slid on in an attempt to catch that pesky light! Here, she can get a much better grip since I put down carpet tiles. However, in her severely weakened state, she cannot stand up anymore, much less chase a laser pointer. Still, she enjoys following the light and when she sees me carrying the laser pointer, even now, she meows excitedly. When I played with her just now, she followed the light with her head and thought the pointer itself was fascinating, so I left it on the floor with her.
for utata ip74 which requires:
1 - a work space
2 - an object from a different work space
3 - light painting
This may be a silly and boring photo but the ip itself was a very useful thing to do:
a) it encouraged me to clear up the draining board
b) in taking my mousemat to the kitchen sink I noticed it needed washing, which I did straight away
c) I discovered that my laser pointer didn't work because the batteries were in the wrong way round
d) I worked out how to set the shutter speed and focus both together.
The first and most important aspect of our 520nm 1000mw Laser Pointer is that they are direct-diode semiconductor lasers. This means the laser beam is emitted directly from the laser diode from the semiconductor. 532nm green laser pointers, on the other hand, are DPSS lasers that are more complex in construction. In fact, 532nm green lasers don't even contain a green laser diode, instead, inside a 532nm green laser module is a 808nm infrared laser diode. By "diode pumped", a DPSS laser typically use an infrared power source to "pump" laced crystals where the wavelength is manipulated to becoming a different color, for our purposes, green.
The green laser pointer in common use among astronomers and the general public have a power output of a little less than 5 milliwatts; in the U.S., these are called Class 3a lasers. Lower-wattage lasers, such as those in CD players and laser printers, are Class 1 or 2, while higher-wattage units, such as those in medical or industrial equipment, are Class 3b or 4. The higher the class, the more severe the warning label required by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
This allows the green laser pointer to be used for pointing to star constellations (skypointing) and also just generally look cool as hell. The green laser beam dot can be seen at much greater distances than with a red laser pointer.A 532 nm green laser pointer wavelength is obviously superior to a laughable 650 nm red laser wavelength. And unlike a red laser, the green beam itself can be seen in mid-air in dark conditions, not just the laser beam dot.
J. Hadler. Random testing reveals excessive power in commercial laser pointers. Presentation at the International Laser Safety Conference, Orlando, Fla., March 20, 2013; J. Hadler, E.L. Tobares and M. Dowell. Random testing reveals excessive power in commercial Red Laser Pointer pointers.Journal of Laser Applications. (Forthcoming.). This 635nm, adjustable focus red laser pointer is the #1 red laser pointer of choice among chiropractors, acupuncturists and other healers for take home Low Level Laser Therapy. Also, it is difficult to hand-hold a laser onto a moving target, so the exposure time may be brief (the pilot sees bright flashes rather than a steady light).
The laser injuries Dr. Shepard Bryan has seen at his practice in Mesa, Ariz., involved red lasers, which laser fans like Mr. Triano consider pass. Green is more easily perceived by the eye and the beam is visible along its path.
The further a person is from the laser source, and the shorter the time that the laser light is on the eye, the less chance of eye injury. This is why a handheld laser that could pop balloons, ignite cigarettes or cause instant eye injuries at close range, probably would not be able to cause even minor eye injuries to a pilot flying an aircraft. The pilot's eye is much further away (a laser beam does spread out with distance, so not all the light goes into a pilot's pupil).

Tigger very interested in the laser pointer's light on the mat in front of her. She was playful and interested in the light.
This was a long exposure with the fisheye. I did a little light painting on some of the ornaments! Probably couldve used more but then I couldn't autograph it!!
The automatic laser pointer mover just seems more harmful to animals, than fun to animals. I guess we basically bought a single-red-dot party light, because this isn't good for pets.
We stopped at a yardsale on the way back from Magill's at 3PM. It was pretty late for a yardsale, but apparently, it didn't start until 11AM.

Different materials and material properities demand different tools. Zünd creasing tools are designed to process a wide range of materials with a variety of crease wheels.

Tigger staring at a laser pointer light a day or two before she died. Tigger loved playing with the laser pointer, even when she was so very sick. She didn't have much energy to chase it, but enjoyed staring at it.
At the Beatroute meeting Ray attended the night before we were all offered advance screening passes to The Martian. Spencer was with us and the next night he brought his friend Jon along with him. He had a Leica with him and immediately I was judging him until he told me it wasn’t digital and I let off my apprehensions (just google Leica and you’ll understand). We got to chat for a bit, snap a cheesy photographer flick and said goodbye.
One of the nice things about posting these shots delayed is that it allows me more opportunity to get to know people I may have only met the day I took the photo. For example, ten days or so later Jon joined Spencer and I along with some friends to head back to the Ladner trestle. I really enjoyed his brief explanation about how in New Zealand (where he had travelled to for a while and adopted many traits of the area) saying cunt was a regular occurrence, then after I mentioned not caring, proceeded to use it how most people use ‘like’. Along with a slew of other quirks and idioms including ‘cheeky nandos’ and a love for nice quads, I’ve found a great friend in Jon.
We hung out one on one and talked cameras a bit later, made some dope pasta concoction, and played around with a highpower laserpointer. I had been mentioning how I’m not certain about pursuing photography in Vancouver, saying I didn’t see room for success. I’d been wanting to escape to the states to see what might come of that and if it went belly up that I’d be pursuing post secondary education for a teaching degree. He sat me down before I left and gave me a new perspective. It was inspiring and in the moment I felt revitalized. I’ll see where things go from here. If you see him around give him a shout, perhaps he’ll be able to lift your mood too.

Sorry folks, and no - i didn't take the wrong pills. This is just the alternative halloween shot i took. Couldn't really decide which one to prefer, so i post both.
This is a combined shot, #1 is a lightpainting using a laser pointer, #2 (background person) is taken in darkness with a SB 900 at 2 o clock high above behind model.

Tigger had a great deal of fun watching the light move slowly back and forth on the mat near her.
I've found that the brave one is quite playful! Tonight he was having the most fun chasing the laser pointer! I had to turn off the patio light for this, so I'm surprised I even got him in the picture! You can just see the red dot by his cute little foot! It was so comical to watch him chase it all over the place!
