On 1/23/10 I went into the E.R. suffering from severe abdominal pains. After an ultasound, it was found that I had gallstones, and my gallbladder needed to be removed. On 1/24/10 my gallbladder was removed by laparoscopic surgery... and these are the pictures!
upper left: my gallbladder is the white thing with the red veins. It is covered in fat (which I was told is the good fat in our bodies) and sits in front of my liver.
upper right: another view
lower left: close up of the gallbladder
lower right: starting to removed the gallbladder. You can see the laparoscopic tools pulling it out.
