I began experimenting around with lanterns earlier, and Thought I'd share the results. The one in the middle right is pretty basic and common and the one on the right I saw somewhere else (hopefully they don't mind), but I decided to include them anyway. Hope you like them!

More colour to lighten the darkness of December. Here a large angel is examining an even bigger flashing ice cream cone.
The Lanterns in all their glory. I'll be replacing the John Stewart head with Christo's green eyed version when it arrives.

Over in the other 365 group I've joined this year, I'm doing the weekly themes each day. Today was the last day of doing "Lucky Charm" and I had remembered I have a board game with horseshoes, which are considered lucky.
Anyways, the board game is called "Merchants of the Dark Road" and these little lanterns are also components in the game.
I have the deluxe version of this game with swish components, that are not included with the retail version of the game ... that just has cardboard bits and pieces.

More lanterns, and as my husband observes every year, it seems almost impossible to make a bad one. Mind you, it always helps if they're immediately recognisable. Here we have a rather fierce looking robin and in the centre, a very impressive owl.
Mamiya 645e | Fomapan 100 Classic | Rodinal 1:100 stand development.
This is the first time I've used this film or developer. I'd read stuff about 'stand' development so I thought I'd give it a go. I'd already bought some Rodinal (along with some TMAX developer) so why not, I thought.
Method: Temp 20c - first 30 seconds agitation and again at 30 minutes. Total development time was 1 hour. Scanner Epson v500. Duotone in LR3
