Schaun mer mal.

Bei -20°C ist dieses Foto entstanden! Hier gibt es wirklich noch unberührte
Landschaft!
it was pretty cold while i shot these mountains!
Equipment: Nikon F100
Fuji Velvia 100
*****
Simply a sunset, with all its beautiful colors!
Der Krai-Woog-Gumpen - Ein unglaublicher Ort!
.

The Hohe Wand area is a rock formation protected as a nature park with surroundings on the Hohe Wand and is located in the Gutenstein Alps in Lower Austria .
Description
The area represents the eastern edge of the Alps at the transition to the Pannonian region and the Vienna Basin ; the subsoil consists of limestone . The nature park is freely accessible, but a fee is charged for certain facilities and for car access.
The nature park is located in the municipal area of the municipalities of Wöllersdorf-Steinabrückl , Bad Fischau-Brunn , Hohe Wand and Höflein an der Hohe Wand . It is also under protection as part of the European protected areas of the Northeastern Alps and the Hohe Wand-Dürre Wand landscape protection area .
Natural Attractions
The Hohe Wand is a forested plateau mountain in the transition area from the Alpine mountains to the Pannonian-influenced rocky steppe flora and fauna. The rocky cliffs, up to 230 meters high, fall exposed to the southeast towards the so-called New World. There are several small and larger caves in the limestone, for example the Kohlröserlhöhle (Czernyhöhle) near the Felsenpfad or the Einhornhöhle , a show cave near Dreistetten .
Built landmarks
There has been a tourist infrastructure on the high plateau for a long time; a public road was carved into the rock up to the plateau as early as the 1930s. A now disused chairlift also served the area.
The following facilities are available on the plateau:
a natural children's playground with an adjacent petting zoo and a so-called play and fun mountain with a wild animal enclosure, observation tower and walk-in marmot burrow for human standards,
an alpine and local history museum,
a nature park parlor,
a dense marked network of hiking trails, secured via ferratas and free climbing areas as well as starting points for hang gliders and paragliders ,
At the top of the wall there is a viewing terrace, called “Skywalk” (see illustration)
Forest educational tours, adventure tours and llama trekking.
