This amazing light and lampshade really made an impression on me. I understand that it has been continuously manufactured since Kontouris licensed it for production to the manufacturer in 2005 (now in its 13th year of production). I think this shows that even a 'humble' thing like a lampshade has a lot of potential...

Little lampshade on a nightlight, spinning by the heat of the lamp, reflected in the beveled edge of a mirror and triggering the PANO arrow on my iPhone camera.

Spotted this in a National Trust house, got to be the COOLEST Lampshade I have ever seen!
The patterns projected onto the ceiling were awesome!
These interesting spiders were in webs at the base of a cliff virtually covered in poison ivy. Here you see one in its lampshade-shaped web. They were identified as this species by experts on this field trip, see discussion here:

Location is somewhat approximate--my notes say it was at the Old Sugarlands Trail in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Looking into a lampshade in a lighting department. I'm not certain I could live with this!
Street artist Timofey Radya night of 26 to 27 December 2016, again wearing bright orange shades for the lights on Lenin Avenue Yekaterinburg.
Art objects decorated the area in front of the Ural Federal University for the fifth time. By tradition, the artist decorates lampshades n the center of Yekaterinburg, in the beginning of January starting in 2013.
