There's something beautiful about rain.

Last night as I walked into the bedroom before switching on the light, I Iooked out of the window and thought 'I'm really cheesed off with this rain" and THEN I SAW THIS.

The wonders of Photoshop - the original photo contained two vehicles, a fire plug, a power box, two mailboxes and their associated standards and an unsightly crack in the road. Another fun editing project..

When on a short trip to my hometown Copenhagen, I fell in love with my brother in law's lamp made of wood. Here it is with its cosy light.

What it really , an old street light but with a LED lamp giving out the light . Think the glass needs a bit of a clean which will make things a bit brighter !!

It does though for a semi-silhouette shot .

Thank you for your visit

A nice shot that Kay took of me holding onto a street light for dear life.

Ok I was kind of leaning against it waiting for our next foray into the unknown.

Photo Of The Week ~ The Sunshine Group ~ 6/20/17

A little something different from me, for one night only ;)

I have been in the possession of the Canon 100mm Macro lens for a few weeks now and was determined to get out this weekend and put it to the test.

I particularly wanted a Snowdrop pic so headed over to Saltram to have a little play, not as god as I wanted but it'll do for starters, need to get my hand in as this Macro stuff aint as easy as it looks!!, this photo was taken in situ so no Snowdrop was harmed in the making of this image! ò¿ò

This attracted my attention earlier this year, a lamp in a cottage we stayed in while on a road trip in NSW.

Blue hour on Westminster Bridge, London. Just got back home from a wonderful 10 days with my sweet love, and this is the only shot of the 1600-odd that I shot which is ready for primetime viewing yet. I have a lot of work ahead of me!

at a friend's cottage last weekend

I was taking shots of Norwich Cathedral and spotted this unusual angle using the lamp as a focal point. Also one below in the comment box in Black & White.

"They found me face-down in the street on the night you left to find,

Another place to sleep in rain and regret

They said they tried everything but it was no use

Yeah, they tried everything and everyone but you"

I love the lamp post since I love keeping my chin up, looking toward light, and lamp post they always stand straight, tall and high, shining bright.

Happy Warm Orange Thursday!

"Alons, viens encore, cherie.

J'attendrai patiemment sous la lampe dans la vieille avenue"

(In fact, the lamp posts are not alone, at Louvre :)
