Mary Branson's compelling Ladders of Light installation is inspired by ideas of social mobility, equality and generosity. Mary's work both mirrors the grandeur and aspirations inherent in the Cathedral's Gothic architecture, and speaks of the fragility of human society.
This Labrador retriever climbs ladders! Some people on our lake were jumping in the water from their pontoon boat. Their dog would dive off the boat with them and then swim around to the back of it and climb up the ladder to get back on the deck of the pontoon boat. It did this several times while we watched. Amazing dog!
Finished one more render of micro Hook and Ladder 8. This time with brick-built walls instead of plates.

Sky Bridge, located in Nantou City, Fukuyama-monkey exploration wells recreation area. People call him "smiling ladder," a total length of 204 meters, hanging in Nantou and Changhua between the two lines, the bridge from the valley up to 70 meters deep, panoramic view of the Changhua Plain.

I should elaborate.
One Saturday I ran to a fire, like a lawyer. It was sort of close and I had a solid alibi...so I ran there and the fire department was mopping up. It was actually sad. No one was hurt, I think the house was abandoned, but it was just smoky and sad. Everyone was standing around looking at a smoldering house, some in Scott air packs and some in bathrobes, smoking. I had a camera and long telephoto lens. I was in sunglasses and a toque and tights. I felt very conspicuous and guilty. A man came with a hoe and started to knock the house down. I ran away.

This Smeal built aerial from the Vancouver Fire & Rescue Service features a 38 meter (would you believe 125 feet) Rear mount ladder. Compared to most US Departments this is huge. It is built on a Spartan Gladiator chassis.

Small bamboo made ladder is a necessity in residential buildings to inspect underground water reservoirs, telephone-cable-internet wires etc. When these ladders get shaky, risking an injury from falling is not something anyone want.
Hence, inspecting and fixing the ladder on a regular basis is mandatory.
