Posiblemente la población con más encanto de la isla de Milos es el pequeño pueblecito de Klima, que se encuentra a los pies del acantilado donde está la capital de la isla, Plaka.
Se trata de poco más de 20 casas de pescadores, todas encaladas en blanco y con puertas pintadas en colores muy llamativos. Las casas estan formadas por dos plantas, la de abajo es para guardar la embarcacion, las redes y aparejos de pesca y en la planta de arriba es donde viven las familias. Un paseo por Klima y tienes la sensacion de estar en otra epoca, como retrocediendo en el tiempo, da la sensacion de estar en los años 80. Sin duda, un pueblo con mucho encanto de las Cicladas.

Olivenbäume kommen im gesamten Mittelmeerraum (Spanien, Italien, Griechenland, Marokko, Türkei) wild vor und werden dort auch kultiviert. Darüber hinaus gibt es sie in anderen Regionen mit ähnlichem Klima, darunter in Teilen Nord- und Südamerikas, Australiens und des Nahen Ostens.

Les syrmatas sont des maisonnettes typiques creusées dans la roche, avec une double fonction : au niveau de la mer, les portes multicolores donnent accès à un garage à bateau, tandis que l'étage supérieur est utilisé comme résidence d'été. Elles sont apparues au milieu du XIXe siècle. Au départ simples abris (les pêcheurs habitant des villages plus éloignés de la côte) et ateliers, après des aménagements plus confortables (électricité...) elles sont devenus des lieux de résidence secondaire pour les familles de pêcheurs, ou de tourisme.

Der Harz gehört nach Ansicht von Forstleuten zu den am stärksten bedrohten Wäldern in Deutschland. Außerhalb von Niedersachsen sollen auch das Sauerland, der Frankenwald und der Thüringer Wald dazu zählen. „Im Harz sieht es mittlerweile verheerend aus“, sagte Ulrich Dohle vom Bund Deutscher Forstleute. Grund dafür sei der immer weiter fortschreitende Klimawandel.
Durch die Dürren der vergangenen Jahre seien die Bäume im Harz immer trockener und instabiler geworden. Bei vermehrt auftretenden starken Stürmen würden sie deshalb schnell umkippen. Auch der schädliche Borkenkäfer habe sich immer weiter vermehrt. Deutschlandweit seien in den vergangenen drei Jahren rund 300.000 Hektar Wald abgestorben. Das ist eine Fläche, die größer ist als das Saarland.
Um die Wälder zu retten, ist laut Dohle jeder Einzelne gefragt, in dem er beispielsweise sein eigenes Konsumverhalten hinterfrage...
„Waldpflege ist eine Generationenaufgabe, das geht nicht von heute auf morgen“, erklärt Dohle.

Klima is one of Milos traditional villages and is known for its whitewashed boat houses with colorful stairs. Best time to visit is before the peak summer season.
