I have not been able to find any good references online for dating vintage Le Creuset cookware. So I decided it would not hurt to post my own photos as references.

Two of the pans here I acquired new, so I know exactly how old they are. The others are from thrift stores, but I have guesses as to their ages based on various information I've found online.

If anyone else has info to add about identifying old vintage Le Creuset, please add it!

Please note: If your Le Creuset has the three concentric ring logo, it dates to NO EARLIER than 1972, which was the first use of that logo according to their trademark application.

From top, clockwise:

1. Pan (Flame) of undetermined age, possibly 1960s or 1970s. No logo on lid knob. Round hanging loop. Cream glaze on inside of lid. Glaze on base, and glaze on lip. Pour spout.

2. Pan (Cherry Red), purchased new in 2009. 1972 logo on lid knob. Name "Le Creuset" and concentric circles on top of lid itself. Round hanging loop. Black phenolic handle. Cream glaze on inside of lid. Glaze on base, No glaze on lip. No pour spout. Pan curves near top and at base. Tab with "Le Creuset" on top. "Precision Pour" design.

3. Pan (Cobalt), purchased new in 1990. 1972 logo on lid knob. Round hanging loop. Cream glaze on inside of lid. No glaze on base, and no glaze on lip. Pour spout. Size in circle on base. Cobalt color without gradations, unlike later pans.

4. Pan (Flame), probably 1950s-early 1960s. No logo on lid knob. Lid knob very narrow Bakelite with point on top. Triangular hanging loop. Orange glaze on inside of lid. Glaze on base, and glaze on lip. Pour spout. Size in diamond on base.

All the kitchenware needed to cook for and serve a large group.

I fell in love with this but didn't buy it, I went home and told my husband how gorgeous it was and how much I loved it and he took me the next day to buy it all for me :) I love him!!!

As with every move, I'm prioritizing the bookshelves. Now, thanks to inadequate cabinetry and a tall toddler, we have to accommodate some kitchenware, too.

This darling set was made by PY/Miyao and distributed by Enesco. In addition to my pieces, there is also a teabag holder, and possibly others.

Look what twin72 surprised me with today!! LOVE this piece! Isn't it pretty? :)

Thank you dear, such a fun day!

This is one of those shop fronts that bring you back to past times. Located on Latoneros St., only metres away from Plaza Mayor, this old shop sells all kind of wickerwork furniture, baskets and kitchenware.

I did a review for Kitchenware Direct about their Baker's Secret hanging cookie cutters, Bodum Pavina double-wall glasses and Bodum Latte Milk Frother. I made Belgian hot chocolate for two, a hanging chocolate heart and Tim Tam Cupcake Pops.

Love the beautiful silhouette of this vintage ceramic strawberry pitcher.

Fabulous for a retro fun, country, or cottage chic style kitchen.

Perfect for juice or water, or even as an impromptu flower vase. Imagine it with a spray of white daisies or big yellow sunflowers!

I found these two gorgeous Le Creuset pans at Goodwill yesterday. Total cost: $20.

The plans are in the Flame color, though you can see that one of them is more "flamey" than the other.

One pan has a triangular hanging loop and a smaller Bakelite lid handle. It is orange inside the lid, NOT cream colored. The other has a round loop and the inside of the lid is cream.

Both are glazed on the base and on the lip of the pan. Both have scorch marks on the bottom of the handle. One of them is still usable even with the scorch. The other needs the wood replaced.

I cannot find any references for exact ages, but I have found two pans online that are exactly the same as the one with the triangle loop. Both of those are dated to 1956-1963.

I think the other one, with the round loop, is newer than that -- not sure how new, though.

Love the little kitty measuring spoons! The kitty paws are supposed to hold plates, but I wanted to show its face.

SET 3 – HLT Remodel: 10-15-2023

Taking a brief diversion from the grocery aisles, here’s a shot across the actionway looking over at the home improvement department – complete with new light-up P22 department sign! There’s also another of those photo feature posters here, this one including some paint, tape, and a lightbulb. Target has used this style of poster for many, many years now, but I have to say, I’m particularly liking this latest iteration – I love how all the colors interact so well between all the different images. (Not that they didn’t before, but still…)

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
