our lovely new kitchen
Mark and I worked hard the last couple of weeks in the house. painting and as you saw, new colour and cabinets on the kitchenwall, etc.
the reason was not only that we wanted to do that for a while but because..
we (our house) will be featured in the ikea live magazine!!!
you can see us in the spring-edition. isnt that cool!!!

I found this original lamp from the seventies at the fleemarket and now it lights up my kitchen (and my heart ;)
Platinum-palladium print on Rives BFK. Original capture was digital. Inkjet neg made on Pictorico OHP and Epson printer using QTR workflow.

From one of today's shoots. Canon XTi, Tokina 12-24 mm, 400 ISO, single flash.
Vintage metal cabinets were brightened by the addition of butcher block countertops and new door hardware.
I took this of my kitchen. We gutted the whole kitchen after we moved in and started from scratch. We put in all new custom cabinets and new solid surface countertops.
We also added a glass block wall to add in more light.

Currently open challenges in Our Daily Challenge include "DOMESTIC BLISS" and "A BUILDING INTERIOR". This corner of my kitchen is comfortable, functional, and beautiful in my eyes. So, I think it is appropriate to both challenges.

built a quickie 2 walled room from 3 pieces of plywood. now mame has a space just for her and her woodmate toys!
amenities include: hardwood floors, open kitchen with center cooking island for entertaining, bright and airy floorplan with only two walls, slightly sticky paint, and HDTV.
I think this is the first time I post photos of our little kitchen. It is one of the rooms in the house that still need a lot of work. The walls are painted in a very ugly schade of yellow, the cabinets are faux wood... We plan on renovating it in the spring/summer.
