Local boats during blue hour, moored at the small marina located at the end of the Pitt River before it opens up into the wonderworld of Pitt Lake.

Communities of rustic to luxury cabins are nestled in clusters along the lake's shores.

A whole new world opens up to a pristine tidal lake that is only accessible by boat.

Pitt Lake according to Wikipedia:

Pitt Lake is the second-largest lake in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. About 53.5 square kilometres in area, it is about 25 km long and about 4.5 km wide at its widest. It is one of the world's relatively few tidal lakes, and among the largest. In Pitt Lake, there is on average a three foot tide range; thus Pitt Lake is separated from sea level and tidal waters during most hours of each day during the 15 foot tide cycle of the Pitt River and Strait of Georgia estuary immediately downstream.

Cefalù is an ancient seaside village and an important tourist center in the metropolitan city of Palermo, Sicily.

It is one of the largest seaside resorts in the entire region; despite its size, it attracts a significant influx of local, national, and international tourists every year, which, in the summer, triple the population, crowding the town's main squares and streets.

It is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and is the gateway to the entire Madonie region and a base for trips to the Aeolian Islands.

The city's cathedral, included in the Arab-Norman Palermo and the Cathedrals of Cefalù and Monreale site, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015.

Cefalù is located on the northern coast of Sicily, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, about 70 km from Palermo, at the foot of a rocky promontory.

The characteristic old town sits at the foot of a large rock formation known as the Rocca, which contains the remains of Paleolithic, Byzantine, and medieval settlements. The modern part of the town extends along the coast seamlessly into the medieval part of the historic center.

My friend, Donna, had a tough week. Yesterday, one of my sons and I drove to her house, sneaked onto her porch and left a big bag of her favorite candy, (Milky Way) by the front door. This is a trail I often walk and I often reflect on how much we hear the word kindness now... maybe this is the silver lining in the pandemic, maybe the world is working to be a kinder place.
