Our wedding was held at Cliffrose Lodge & Gardens in Springdale, Utah.
Special thanks to our talented photographer Jimmy Bishop of Gideon Photography.
Additional thanks to our amazing wedding planner, Laura Stagg of Forevermore Events, without whom none of this would have been possible.
I have no idea where this was taken, really; I am just guessing that it was Haifa because I remember that Ellen came with us on that trip. She was a friend of mine from junior college in Singapore, and she was studying in Durham, England, at the time. She flew over to Israel to visit me (isn't that wonderful?) and I introduced her to all my friends (there's James, my lovely English boyfriend) and showed her around a bit.
We were pretty much never without a bottle of wine. It was usually terrible wine, the cheapest they had, but we didn't much care. Often we drank terrible cheap vodka mixed with Kiddush wine, and considered this a fine life.
It was.

Parsley, this bitter herb is dipped into salt water before being eated to represent tears. It is also used to prompt the 4 questions (Why is this night different from all other nights? We usually eat bread - challah - after blessing the wine - kiddush - but during the seder we eat this vegetable after the blessing.)
The kiddush cup my father got for his bar mitzvah. I used this cup when I was growing up, and I hope that my son will one day pass it on to HIS son or daughter.
