Some memories hit you like a ton of bricks, other steal upon you quietly when you least expect it. Thankfully, Abby's memory is the quiet kind and the tears hardly ever fall now when thinking of her. Taking photos of her keepsakes was a huge step for me and I'm so glad I did it.

A stunningly pretty little wedding keepsake with little pockets and tags for your messages, flowers, frames, beads and buttons, ribbons tiny hearts and lots of lovely sentiments go to make this cute little card something that will be treasured.

The flowers have been hand coloured and stamped and fixed with gorgeous filigree pearl brads. This took a long time to put together and I thoroughly enjoyed the process - and as it is a one-off, I am pretty confident that there will be no duplicate of this one at the wedding!

Size is approx 3" square and comes with a presentation box too

I made each of these patches after a significant trip in my life, as a way to have a more personal keepsake. The mountain patches where both made after I climbed these mountains. The Mt. Meru patch uses kanga in a peak-a-boo and represents the beautiful sunny days I experienced on the mountain. The Kili patch is inspired by military patches, as this mountain was a much more serious and daunting task. A particular point where this inspiration is made clear is in the two stripes at the bottom. The green stripe represents my first climb and the red stripe represents the second climb I will be taking in a few years.

Finally, I made the London patch after my first trip to the city. Where I fell in love with the speed and artistic energy of London. Particularly The west end and the tube system, hence why I chose to use the iconic underground symbol.

medium: embroidery thread, kanga, jean

*Kanga is east African patterned fabric

Size: London- 6x7cm Meru- diameter of 6cm Kili- 5.5x5cm
