This is a bouquet that keeps on giving, because it stays fresh and will never wilt. Definitely ready for gift giving or a baby shower centerpiece. These five lollipops are made from premium brand washcloths that are wrapped in tulle, and tied with a ribbon. Also, these lollipops are attached to a take and toss infant spoon. There is a personalized name sign in the middle of the bucket to give a custom look. We love packaging; therefore, each bucket is packaged in tulle and a bow to tie it all together.
I've visited this scene so often, it keeps dragging me back to the Lake District at least once every year as I"m obsessed with getting the perfect conditions, but will need to visit again!
I arrived at 4.30am expecting piece and tranquility, but picked the worst morning of the year for that. When I began walking through Hassness Wood I shuddered in horror at the scene in front of my eyes. All I could see were loads of mobile homes, camper vans, 4x4s, cars and tents erected in the field alongside the shoreline and in the field (next to Hassness Wood). For anyone from outside the UK, wild camping in England is illegal, but one rule of law amongst wild campers is to arrive at dusk and depart at dawn. Anyway I walked on to my location determined to not let it spoil the experience thinking it was after all 4.45am, so everyone will be sound asleep.
At 4.55am the tranquility was turned completely upside down when a helicopter appeared and decided to fly up and down Buttermere for the next hour. This awoke everyone from their tents and mobile homes, who came out to see what was going on. The whole of Buttermere was more akin to an FBI crime scene - at 5am on a Monday morning!
The helicopter must have been filming as it had a massive camera on the front but it didn't disappear till well over an hour later. Over the other side of the lake people were further compounding the loud noise by riding quad bikes up and down the lake shore path. Inside my head I was seething as it's such an effort to reach this location as it's about 350 miles from my home and I get crowds of people, a helicopter and quad bikes at 5am!!!
Part of the reasoning for visiting Buttermere is also for peace and tranquility. I hung around for 2 hours in hope for the lake to become mirror like and couldn't wait to get out of the place after taking this photograph.
I later discovered all the tents and motor homes parked by the lake (behind where this shot was taken) is a once per year festival called the "Buttermere Bash" where people from any walks of life pay a fee so they can camp for 5 days and park up lakeside to have a festival (like a mini Glastonbury).
For anyone visiting Buttermere for photography, the best time of year is probably autumn as the light is less harsh and you can't beat the autumnal colours. Just remember the sun doesn't appear over the high surrounding fells till at least one hour after sunrise time.
What keeps you so far away?
We can swim in silence
You can pull me under
I will not come up for anyone
I can slowly sink in
Watch you as you leave
I will drown until you care.
I will drown until you care.

Because of the way I executed this, it's small and weird, so please view on black. XD
The words in the picture aren't lyrics. They're my thoughts, my emotions, my feelings. What I am inside.
And you're so far away. What keeps you so far away?
All the baby cardinals like to feed on the ground and Daddy sits up and keeps a watch.
Happy Slider Sunday !!
Lydia keeps my toothbrush in her apartment
And she never complains
Well, hardly ever
And then jokingly she says
Boy, it's been so long since I held you
I nearly gave you up for dead
I nearly gave you up for dead
I nearly gave you up for dead
Lydia, Lydia, how come you understand?
I can offer you nothing at all
This is more than I had planned
Lydia, Lydia I am at your command
At least until morning comes
Then, I must be off again
I must be off again
Lydia, you know I always talk about conscious decisions
About running my own life
But maybe I'm fooling myself
It's a role I like to play
'Cause more often than not I'm down here on the corner
I'm sorry I woke you
Do you feel like some company?
Babe, I need a place to stay
Lydia, Lydia, how come you understand?
I can offer you nothing at all
This is more than I had planned
Lydia, Lydia, I am at your command
At least until morning comes
Then I must be off again
I must be off again
Lydia, Lydia, how come you understand?
I can offer you nothing at all
This is more than I had planned
Lydia, Lydia, I am at your command
At least until morning comes
Then I must be off again
I must be off again
I sleep with a woman who thinks I'm a child
Well, maybe I am
No, that wouldn't surprise anyone
I suspect that much is true
But, Lydia, if you only knew just how much I love you
Did you know that I love you?
It's the best that I can do
Lydia, Lydia, how come you understand?
I can offer you nothing at all
No, this is more than I had planned

The town of San Jon, New Mexico was founded in 1902 and was once an important local commercial center and stop on U.S. Route 66 and home to numerous tourist-oriented businesses, such as gasoline service stations, cafes and motels. However, when Interstate 40 bypassed the town in 1981, the local economy went into a decline, leading most of those businesses to shut down. Today, all of the gas stations and dining establishments are centered around the I-40 interchange on the north side of town...
Seems like the owners of Smith's Cafe had enough and threw in the towel...after tossing the signage to the curb...

I've been to hollywood,
I've been to redwood,
I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold.
I've been in my mind,
it's such a fine line
that keeps me searching for a heart of gold.
And I'm getting old.

For the midterm, I went out twice to try to take star trails. The first trip was ruined by a huge amount of clouds that came out of nowhere, and the second was much better. For this shot, I was planning on going out to McDowell Mountain but passed the Pointe Tapatio and decided to give it a shot because it was about thirty minutes closer to my house. Anyways, it worked. There were tons of stars and it turned out pretty well. I took about 80-90 photos from 8-9 p.m. My ISO was 800 with an aperture of about 4.8 with each photo at a thirty second exposure. I didn't do too much editing, only playing with the curves and saturation and some masking along the mountains to make a little more detail pop out. Other than that, I clone stamped two small portions of the lines going the opposite way through the stars. The only thing I would change for this photo is the point of view on the mountain. I think I probably could have found a better foreground to work with and add depth.
First of all, this fits this weeks task in the sense that I set out to get star trails in a mountainous setting, and that is what I got. Also, I was able to adjust my settings to get a lot of stars and other things going on in the sky. Lastly, I really like the colors in the photo. In camera, it was an unpleasant red and with Lightroom we were able to change it to a more natural blue.

Time Keeps on Slipping
A bridge railing giving way to harsh weather loses its paint to the elements. Brilliant sun casts a diagonal shadow to give more drama to the strong colors. An hourglass of sorts - at least to my eye. I love finding little treasures in unexpected places and capturing them.

A ship's mate keeps watch from the bow of the M/V Kennicott while navigating Tongass Narrows, moving south out of Ketchikan Alaska.
From the Tongass Narrows Voluntary Waterway Guide: "When transiting the Tongass Narrows, please exercise caution, maintain extra vigilance and be courteous. Unlike other waterways, on Tongass Narrows you must also remember to scan the sky as there is a constant stream of floatplanes landing and taking off on these waters."
Facebook keeps counting up the days (You haven't posted in 434 days") and seeing the number rising was one of the reasons to continue the project. The urge to go out and photograph strangers grew again more and more. Some things have changed in my life since the last time like graduating from university and going to work every day. But the nervousness and shaking arms when raising the camera in front of the "first" stranger is still there :)
Meet Theresa. She was walking quickly which in my experience is a bad sign because most of those people tend to say no. As she was hesitating and stating that she didn't have time since she was already late for work. But as you can see, I luckily managed to convince her to spend another two minutes and got her portrait.
That's the reason I don't know much about her except that she studies in Bamberg and apparently works in Munich in the evening.
Theresa, thank you very much! It was a pleasure meeting you, even though it was very quick. If you like to have the full versions, just contact me.
