Thank goodness it's winter! I've been going through my photos, from last Summer, and found some gems.
Their achievements are great. At Fukiage Iris Garden in Ome,Tokyo. シルバー人材センターの彼らの手入れは行き届いている。ガイドさんもいて、とても素晴らしい菖蒲園です。
Nubble Light (Cape Neddick Lighthouse) was commissioned in 1874, when President Rutherford B. Hayes appropriated $15,000 for the project, and construction was completed in 1879. Nubble Light is one of the most photographed lighthouses in Maine, and is a popular subject for calendars. This iconic lighthouse is currently undergoing a major and historically accurate restoration, including the keeper's house and light tower. Many people who stopped to see this lighthouse were disappointed to see scaffolding around the tower, since this was their first and only opportunity to see this Maine treasure. But we have viewed this lighthouse every year for the last 22 years and to us it is like an old friend. We are very glad to see that it is undergoing its much needed preservation. When I took this photo the temperature was 84F and people were swimming in the ocean, very unusual for Maine in October. York, Maine.

A keeper uses food to encourage a lowland paca to spend some time outdoors. Pacas are herbivores. In some parts of South America and Central America, they're known as the "royal rat."
Part of the Sea defences at Sea Palling on the North Norfolk Coast UK. This was my first proper outing since March this year and i was hoping for a nice sunrise shot but sadly there was too much cloud cover for any decent colours. A bit of drama followed the disappointment as i'd lost my car key on the beach somewhwere. Having no clear route back due to the tide coming in and restricting access the only option was to go a longer way round negotiating some very delicate cliffs. After a good 1.5 hours i was reunited with my key that luckily had washed up into some pebbles. Lesson learned i think for next time!
Such a gorgeous doll. The high ponytail had to come down for me to photograph her, but she's a keeper. Such beautiful screening and makeup. One of my favorites from the convention.

It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place…
I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.
