I catch every ball !!

An old lock keeper's cottage stands alongside the Caledonian Canal near Aberchalder in the Scottish Highlands.

You are standing three-quarters of the way along the route of the 36-mile long Cotswold Canals which joined the River Severn at Saul, 27-miles in front, to the River Thames at Inglesham, 9-miles behind.

This peaceful scene hasn't changed much since the lock and keeper's cottage were built in the late 1780s. The cottage, known as a roundhouse, is of a design unique to the Cotswold Canals, with just five examples built. This one was used until 1831 by canal employees who combined the duties of watchman, lengthsman and lock-keeper, since when it has been a private residence.

Waiting for first light with the rock called "Carega" at Paraggi near Portofino.

I call him the gate keeper, but he’s more like the Horsepen Bayou Sentry and is usually on duty and in his lookout perched high over the bayou. On this particular day, he stuck around a lot longer than usually and allowed me several opportunities to capture him/her. It’s just too bad that this one is perched so high up. Great Blue Heron photographed on Horsepen Bayou.

This is the Keepers house at Heceta Head on the beautiful Oregon coast.

This historical place is where the keeper of the lighthouse and his family used to live.

They would take care of the lighthouse and make sure the light was always shining so ships would have safe passage along this part of the coast.

Now this house is used as a bed and breakfast and for wedding activities.

Please enjoy the evening view, as the sun was setting.

I managed to take this shot while the shop keeper was lost in thought. After I showed him the picture, he let me take a few more shots, but 'posed', which I might upload another day.

I watched your life blood

Fall into the cup

It didn’t spill over

And it didn’t stop

A constant level of red dismay

A grieving litany I hear in my soul

Right up until this very day

Where the cup wants to take every drop

Bleeding you dry like a husk

Of everything you have got

Is this so that I live with the stain

Of retrospective treachery

But it is not something I have ever forgot

This remembrance is passed down through the ages

Of Grail Keepers, beggared and lost

Forgotten, unknown, paying the cost

Hidden in plain sight sometimes

Until it is our time to move along

We guard an eternal love

That outstrips existence itself

Though it would grant you healing if you asked

The treasure it holds is beyond compare

Containing the teachings of the soul

The movement of your blood

And the story of the universe untold

It never forgets or regrets

And remembers all the reasons

As to why you are loved

What can I say? To me, this image transcends everything. Personally, it is one of my most meaningful and favourite images I have ever taken. If you were to ask me what I believed in, what I thought was precious in this world, I would say that this image represented my world completely, and who I am.

There is a dialogue happening here, with this Cup. There is a presence here, other than me, and the Cup has called it down.

When this happens and I am fortunate enough to witness it, feel it, experience it, I need nothing else.

A Grail Keeper protects and keeps this love safe. A Grail Keeper keeps the Light alive. My Love and Blessings to all.

Taken at Wilmington Church, East Sussex, UK. And yes, this is a photograph, not AI.

Why do I need a fake Grail when reality is like this?

And this is the point, don’t you think. Just believe for once, let joy into your life.

I have paired this with Era’s “The Mass” as this is what this image is, transubstantiation.

My novel "Finder, Keeper" has just been published and is now available worldwide from all major on-line bookstores.

Three years of my life went into this book. I am happy just to have a copy of the real thing in my hands, but hopefully some will derive as much pleasure from reading it as I did in writing it.

Australian-based buyers will receive a personally-signed copy.

A quick snap of a typical Lakeland scene. I saw the sunlight behind this herdy as I wander down from Sour Howes I just had to get the light behind it before it ran off and to kept that head still, 3 shoots the middle one was a keeper.
