A baby elephant is called a calf. It weighs about 250 pounds at birth and stands about three feet tall. Calves can't see very well at first, but they can recognize their mothers by touch, scent, and sound. At first, baby elephants don't really know what to do with their trunks. They swing them to and fro and sometimes even step on them. They will suck their trunk just as a human baby might suck its thumb.

And speaking of the juniors department, here's a look at some of its signage. Much better than my last attempt on the previous visit! Like the home accents department, this section had multiple signs, but only two compared to that area's billion five: simply one on either side of the corner it rounds.

One cold very windy morning in mid January, I was surprised to see this young male Costa's hummingbird occupying the favorite perches near my feeders previously jealously guarded by an adult male Costa's in full breeding plumage seen in previous pictures here.

This young guy's gorget is just emerging, while previous small patches of it above and below his beak seem to be moldering away.

Another one from our surgery series with my daughter doing the surgery but with a big rusty saw this time.

I do think I should have tried some different expressions though lol.

This shot was setup in my kitchen with me lying on our dining table with white background paper on my background stand.

The main light was my Elemental 600 to camera left set to 1/4 power and with a beauty dish.

To light the backdrop I used my other Elemental 600 set to 1/2 power and my Nikon SB600 also set to 1/2 power and 50mm.

The kitchen window was to camera right which acted as a fill and also I used a silver reflector to camera left to bounce some of that natural light back into my face.

The flashes where fired off camera using my Yongnuo RF-602 trigger + recievers.
