This little cutie pie was waving his wings and jumping for joy all for a peanut and boy did he get one ;). I think this may be my favorite bird on the planet.
I was taking the photo and my photopal said it needs someone in it.... and walked ahead. As I snapped the shutter he jumped......I actually didn't see him do that.....so it was luck! Explore Mar 13 #198
Celebration after the walkoff win in game 4 of the ALDS. The win clinched the series! The shot isn't the best since I was standing on a chair yelling, which definitely adds to camera shake!
In full flow. Don't often post family stuff (even tho it's my favorite subject), but I like the energy and carefree feeling this image evokes - and probably coz it reminds me of myself as a wee boy, when the most important thing in the world was running thru a big field full of buttercups... It's easy to lose sight of the small pleasures in life.
Some tram designs really suit advertising wraps, especially so the CAF Urbos 3 supplied to Edinburgh trams in Scotland.
Celebrating the famous Edinburgh International Festival, a catchy contravision square.
Today we headed for the blue skies and ended up at Stolford..looking North back across the Bridgwater Bay our home was under dark clouds and we were full of the joys of Spring..the sun shone, the birds sang and we were warm and very happy!
My home was never on the ground.

This photo-mural, on the side of a building in 2015, measured 21 meters by 35 meters, showing about 300 photographs (2 meters by 2 meters each) of people joyously jumping...
“It’s possible to forget how alive we really are. We can become dry and tired, just existing, instead of really living. We need to remind ourselves of the juice of life, and make that a habit. Find those places inside that jump for joy, and do things.”
She was spontaneous... I wasn't prepared for the shot. Good, I kept clicking and clicking, as it is my habit when I'm at the beach. I am very particular with the waves -- I want them rushing towards me. This shot is now my favorite.
“Mama exhorted her children at every opportunity to ‘jump at the sun.’ We might not land on the sun, but at least we would get off the ground.”

Could be a jump of joy for the warmth of spring, or someone falling off the roof.... It is one of the first attempts with my 10-24 lens (a few hours old), completely SOOC (and a new record from shoot to upload - 5 minutes!). The Big Jump
I really don't want to be carrying around to much equipment and I thought 18-200 would cover my needs. But I've seen too many amazing wideangle photos on Flickr to keep my hands away from this lens, so here we go!
Whew. I'm OVER halfway there!! I had a blast walking around the east side of town this morning. I found this groovy old shed in an alley and took a few jump shots-I'm diggin' the shadow work and have one more to share with you tomorrow.
(I owe the tilt to the garbage can in the alley. I forgot my tripod and tried to use the top of the lid, but it kept getting into the frame. I found that resting it on the handle worked much better and the camera was most steady with a tilt.)
Yay!! Did I mention I'm over halfway there?!!
Did you feel the wind
As it blew all around you
Did you feel the love
That was in the air
Wake up, wake up
Wake up and look around you
We're lost in space
And the time is our own
Whoa, whoa
Iiiiiiiiii
The sun comes up
And it shines all around you
You're lost in space
Week 15 in 52 Weeks for Dogs
Taivas having fun in the forest on a sunny April morning.
The recipe for this one was quite simple:
take a beach of outstanding natural beauty;
add in a twelve year old who has been cooped up in a car all day:
put up tent;
head to beach just before sunset, with camera;
unleash boy and light blue touch paper ...

Joy for Me Again Monday
Literally jumping for it! Today was a great day. We did a Flickr Meetup / Photobooth SF photo walk with instant cameras around the Mission today and had lot's of fun and made new friends. I have a nice set from it coming up once I get them scanned.
Then we had a yummy lunch followed by a walk on Golden Gate bridge. The weather was perfect for it too. Shot this on the way back to the car and I was jumping up on down on this tree stump when Robin said 'careful you don't fall down the cliff there' and of course my childlike happiness and fearlessness left me that instant *_*...but nothing can beat that view...
Valuable for ToTW
I treasure the joy photography brings me and also the wonderful inspirational place I live in
^_^

They may be least in size but their is no shortage of joy when mommy shows up with a fish. A least tern chick jumps, calls, and runs to get it's mother's attention. Shooting this morning was wonderful fun watching the least terns on the beach in Long Branch. I also had the great pleasure of meeting some of the wonderful folks who help to make the area as safe as possible for these wonderful but endangered birds. Least terns are the smallest terns in North America. They nest on open beaches along the southern coasts and also along interior rivers. Here in New Jersey we are at about the most northern extreme of their nesting range. It is a range that has been extending northward. Five hours went by like minutes watching these fuzzy feathered chicks on the beach. Please, respect the endangered bird nesting zones when visiting the New Jersey beaches. #iLoveNature #iLoveWildlife #WildlifePhotography in #NewJersey #Nature in #NorthAmerica #LeastTerns #BabyBirds #DrDADBooks #Canon #WildlifeConservation
per fortuna ho fatto tante foto.
Six months after it's installation, the 'Jump for Joy' mural in Vancouver is wearing out - and I love it.
This is the world famous sand dunes of Death Valley. And this is my 12-year-old daughter jumping with all the joy of life that she has within her. It was 6:45 AM and we had just watched the sun rise over the sand dunes. It was a magical moment to appreciate God's creation together.
Strobist info: Two off camera flashes on stands, camera left and right. Both were bare but for a 1/2 CTO warming gel. Triggered with a Nikon SU-800 commander.
Happiness knows no borders or limits. Sometimes, a simple jump reminds us of the joy of traveling, exploring, and feeling free. In this moment, pure excitement meets history in an iconic setting: the Pyramids of Egypt.

Happy Cliche Saturday. I did this for leap day (29th Feb) and had plans on doing more of them today but my back has decided to give out and I barely even got my shot of the day done. Hope you like my leaping cliche .. there were a few but I loved this one the best! HCS!!
We managed to get a few fun shots. This is Miss A and Miss S (Miss M's best friend) ♥ thank you girls!
