The team won Judge's Award at the 2014 Howard District FIRST Robotics Competition for their creative structuring in JV and Varsity sub-teams, encouraging every student's full participation and recognizing their effort.

Judge Mancha Bruggemeyer, the donor of the original Bruggemeyer Memorial Library situated at the southwest corner of Ramona and Garvey. Following the death of his first wife, Roberta Pauline, the judge met Nell, a librarian in the local library, then housed in the Ramona Woman's Club building. He became interested in libraries and married Nell, afterward building the new library in 1929.
