The background is 'Arrival of Spring' by David Hockney. One of my favourite paintings of all time. I saw it for real in his exhibition some months ago at the Royal Academy. Seriously, there's no substitute for seeing this in reality - the colours are so vivid and it stands from floor to ceiling. Massive. I wish this place was real... and that it lay at the bottom of my garden :)

The participants joined those in Ranger Company and MCW for a SAREX (search and rescue exercise) on Mt. Paine, where they learned nonverbal communication, nine-line, and how to de-escalate a gun-to-gun combat standoff effectively. They then set up a high line with MCW across the cavern in the quarry. Meanwhile, the National Guard taught land navigation and map reading in the Shaw.
