Hey it's @kevinkuster posting.
While driving the other day with my parents, we were discussing Instagram, the #jj community and how much people REALLY connect.
Although my parents "kinda" get what we do here, it all clicked for them when I said "it's like the modern day version of a pen pal." Bingo! Connection made for ma and paw Kuster.
I feel so lucky and honored to arrive in a new place and just put up a post asking "who wants to meet up while I am on vacation?" 24 hours later 10 people show up to meet and shoot pictures. Some people even drove 2 hours to attend!
That commitment shows the power of connection. Connection is the strength of this #jj community!
I believe ALL people are hard-wired to connect. It's part of the human condition. It's part of our DNA. Deep personal relationships are the most rewarding gift in life.
Every relationship begins with a first meeting and although first meetings can sometime feel strange, forced or bizarre, they are worth the cost. We've all heard the voices inside our head that say "Don't go. This is stupid. You don't know these people." Etc, etc, etc.
Please always remember to reject those negative voices and step out and connect!

miss_elenie: I had no idea barneagat was a real place. I studies the poem "patrolling barneagat" for my gcse and firgured it was personification a lighthouse so this is really cool for me to find out. :-) awesome shot.

Columbus Museum of Art, and the #JJ COMMUNITY, one of the world’s most active communities of photographers, present #MobilePhotoNow the largest mobile photography exhibition ever organized by a museum. #MobilePhotoNow highlights the emerging art form of mobile photography, and the power of social media and smart phones as a means of creative expression and connection. CMA and #JJ COMMUNITY, partnered throughout October to post themed photo challenges that engaged the mobile photography community. More than 5,000 photographers from 89 different countries submitted nearly 45,000 images via Instagram. The resulting global exhibition co-curated by CMA and #JJ features 320 photos from nearly 240 photographers representing nearly 40 different countries. Open now through March 22, 2015.

On our last road trip we met up with @stuckinohio. Danny is a really guy, very talented and knows how to create a killer video. Both Josh and I got to see the finished product when we were at the Us Open Surf two weeks ago!

I had a speaking engagement today at the Lions Club 98th Global Conference. My topic was about my work with @watts_of_love and the power of photography and social media for non-profits.
I had to leave the second I finished my talk finished to catch my flight home. According to the airlines, I arrived too late to board the plane. I was very mad!
While stewing on my walk to my later flight, I encountered the @tiny_collective gallery show in the Toronto Airport. The photo show is comprised of all street photography mobile images and it is truly spectacular! My mood changed immediately.
The work features some of the best street photographers in the world. I highly encourage you to check each of the photographer's work. I promise you will be amazed and inspired.

Have you heard about our @FIATUSA Open Road trip this summer? Just like last years trip someone will win a NEW FIAT 500L!
To get you guys pumped up about possibly winning your own vehicle, I reached out to last years car winner @littlecoal and asked him a few questions.
KK. How has winning your car from last year impacted your life?
LC. Having a brand new Fiat 500L without having a car payment has been the greatest benefit. The gas mileage is great and it's incredibly fun to drive, but always in the back of our minds is the fact that the entire experience with @joshjohnson, @FiatUsa and everyone that voted literally changed the financial dynamic of our family for years. My oldest daughter(10) has already picked out a key chain that she's hoping to use when it become her's(or so she thinks!).
