Javan langurs are found across the rainforest habitats of Indonesia on the islands of Java, Bali and Lombok. There are two species of Javan langur (Eastern and Western) that are geographically isolated within this broader habitat range. A tree-dwelling species that is active during the day, Javan langurs feed primarily on leaves, flowers and fruit.

My wife and I went for a 16 day tour through Indonesia.

We had a fantastic journey, not only because of the beautiful country, good food and fine weather, but also because of the excellent guide and pleasant group of fellow travellers (26 in total).

I recently spent a week in Hawaii. Birding wasn't my focus, but I did see LOTS of birds as I toured parks and gardens near Honolulu.

Lke the Chestnut Munias and Common Waxbills, I usually saw them in groups of a half-dozen or more.
