Each time I go to the thirft store, I'm on a mission. I search for the following items: trucker caps I can paint stuff on, a vintage toaster to recreate a real-life version of ZCC, canvases to paint on, old cameras, and an old-skool boombox I can hook my iPod to.
Well, I found one that works today. When I move to NYC and have my own bathroom, I'm going to hook my cassette adapter and listen to music while I'm showering. I also bought some sweet BluBlockers to boot.

Upsides = lower cost (priced online at $60-$100), and a great giveaway for conferences, booths, and other marketing materials. Lightweight, easy to stow into bag. Sound was clear, easy to pair, and has internal charging batteries using USB cables.
Downsides = Sound is a bit thin, not as deep as the expensive $200 Jambox, which surprisingly has lower frequency output. Should have included a mini-jack to mini-jack cable. Overall, I found the design to be lack-luster and sound 'ok'.
Wishlist for Monster line: Monster could benefit by having two models, entry level at $50 and second higher quality unit priced at $199 The Jambox and Creative D100 have think sleek designs, which lends to the coolness factor.
Use cases for my portable blue tooth speaker: Primarily in bathroom when taking showers, then when I travel (which is frequently) and then at picnics or outdoor events with friends (that's when it really needs to push sound --as well as look cool)
My Call: If you've a limited budget, this is worth $50, but if you can afford it and care about sound go for the more expensive Jambox at nearly quadruple the cost. This device is suitable to put by your bed while using iPad or listening to music on mobile device.
This is a review unit sent to me by Monster, after testing, I'll be giving product away.

Happy Christmas Eve! We woke up late enough to skip breakfast, so we moved right on to a classy lunch. My mom made what she calls "heavy queso" to go with chips. Then the went out to Taco Bell so we could have some substance to go with our meal.
We watched White Christmas once Katelyn arrived, and we promptly went on an internet stalking mission for Vera Ellen. Ended up kinda sad, I think.
The bulk of our evening was spent playing UNO and drinking caramel appletinis while (loudly) singing along to Christmas songs on the Jambox. It was glorious. And tomorrow is Christmas Day! LET'S DO THIS.
